1 SUMMARY OF CORRECTIONS AND ENHANCEMENTS

This release will introduce new features and support for new version of network elements. Additionally release corrects problems mentioned in the corrections chapter.

Compatibility is extended to network element releases mentioned in the New / Changed functionality chapter.

1.2 New functionality

For FTFB 1.1 indoor unit Settings page updated to configure the Bit Error Rate (BER) alarm thresholds and gating times for the Serial IO (SIO) data channels.

3 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

This document describes the actions needed for installing this new release of FlexiHub Manager into the customer’s network management system or personal PC.

3.1 Overview

FlexiHub Manager 4.1 is new complete package. It will install as new entry. Not on top of the existing release.

3.2 Preparations

Nokia Siemens Networks General Communication Service (GCS) SW component needs to be present in the target PC if user is using FlexiHub Manager with FIFA / FTFA / FTFB units.

FlexiHub Manager Installation package do not contain GCS software package. GCS can be downloaded separately from the NOLS.

3.3 Making a safe copy of the active package

No need to make safe copy from the existing package. New release is not overwriting the previous release.

3.4 SW Update downloading instructions

Release can be downloaded from NOLS. Path to the SW installation package from NOLS home page:

Care → Software delivery → Element Management Products → FlexiHub Manager

3.5 Data Migration

Not needed.

3.6 SW Update Installation

Run installation program found from the SW package or from the CD. Installation wizard will guide trough the installation process.

3.7 Checking of the package consistency

No checks needed.

3.8 Fallback

FlexiHub Manager 4.1 will be installed as full package beside the old release. Old release will be usable after installation.
