Pre-installation scanner A feature that can be used to measure the signal strength on the site before installing a working wireless network. The signal scanner function has been found under a pre-installed project, and this has required an installed network and WBU on the site. Now any WTR transmitter operated in a Bluetooth mode can be used with a pre-installation scanner. The scanner is located behind the "Wireless installation projects" menu and is called "Pre-installation scan". By activating the Bluetooth from any transmitters, it can be added to a pre-signal scanner search and used to demonstrate signal coverage on the site before building up working a network.

This release note includes all major changes and improvements that are done to Produal MyTool®

configuration tool application version 1.7. There is also a large amount of smaller changes done that are

excluded from this document.

Pre-installation scanner

A feature that can be used to measure the signal strength on the site before installing a working wireless network.

Outputs - Settings for WBU physical outputs

Measurement calculations

Average groups - 5pcs of average groups

Measurement alarms - Was before the "alarm settings" now include only alarms related to measurements

Temperature stability - Temperature stability is an indicator of how well the temperature remains within certain limits.

Communication

Modbus register grouping - Was before "WTR input register cloning".

Value over bus - Settings for external values shown through display models.

Wireless network settings - Wireless Network Settings like polling interval and offline alarm time

General communication settings - Ethernet and RS-485 settings

Simplified wireless network setup

The Network ID generation window has been abandoned and moved behind a separate link at the end of

the installation. WBU installation now begins from naming the device.

1. No changes in "Custom device name" page

2. No changes in "Transmitter naming pattern" page

3. Under generated network ID is the blue "Change" link. Behind this, it is now possible to generate a new ID if wanted.

4. No changes in "Configuration finished" page

Viewing beacon data directly from a project

When the transmitter is installed under the project, its Beacon data can be read easily by selecting transmitter that the data user wants to read. Previously, this had to be done via the "Scan beacon data" function. The "Scan beacon data" function still exists. This shortcut functionality was added to make it faster to access the beacon data view.

Device configuration download from MyCloud improved "Load to device"

Management and downloading of saved settings have been improved when loading settings from the

cloud. This improvement only applies to settings stored in the MyCloud, not those that are stored in the

phone's memory behind the "Use existing file" button.

Example of fast loading settings to WTR

1. Selecting "Download settings from MyCloud"

2. Selecting "Load to device" loads settings from MyCloud and push those directly to the transmitter.

3. Information screen that settings are loaded to the transmitter

4. The user is brought back to the starting window

When using "Load and edit" the user can check settings that he is loading to the transmitter and make

necessary changes before loading those to the device.

Example of loading settings to WTR

1. Selecting "Download settings from MyCloud"

2. Selecting "Load and edit" loads settings from MyCloud

3. The user can see which kind of settings are being imported. This window is because some products can have different types of settings.

4. The user can see which settings are being changed (number in the corner). Once checked that everything is OK, the changes can be uploaded to the transmitter by selectin "Install to device"

Transmitter automatic address selection abandoned

When installing transmitters under the wireless project, the manual option is only left. Manual address

selection is the surest way to set the correct IDs for transmitters. Automatic addressing was very little used,

and manual ID selection is a clear way to add the right address for the transmitters.

Wireless installation visualization map

Under the installation overview, there is a network routing map that can be used to visualize network

structure and to show other information from the network.

Explanations for map icons:

EXT = External power supply device

xx% = MESH signal strength between two nodes

Green colour = Power consumption OK level

Yellow colour = Slightly higher power consumption may affect battery life

Red colour = Much higher than normal power consumption, this affects battery life. Typically after

installing the network, the power consumption of transmitters is high, and some of the transmitters might

show red colour. If everything is OK, the power consumption of the transmitter should go back to the

normal level after a couple of hours from starting the installation.
