Atlas 1512 Display 1532

KDS 278

Summary: The Revel team is proud to announce the release of Atlas 1512, together with supporting changes in the KDS and Display.

A few of the new enhancements will require a late August backend upgrade. Please reach out to your Account Manager or Support with any questions.

Features: Bematech Fiscal Printer–Revel will fully integrate with the Fiscal Printer required by some Latin American countries. Please note this integration is not for all Latin countries.

KDS All Day View–This view is a way to sort what you have to cook by quantity count on your kitchen view. For instance, you can easily see that you need to make three Cheese Steak Sandwiches and two Mushroom Steak Sandwiches. We can change the way you group things (by product or by modifier set of product), offer various methods of sorting and mark all or parts of a group completed.

Promotions – In our continuing efforts to have the best, most flexible promotions out there, we have added these new features:

• Time Slots – You can describe sophisticated time periods during which your promotion will run. Want your Happy Hour to run from 4-6 on Friday and 3-5 on Saturday and Sunday? No problem. You can now describe this in a time slot. Time slots shall be replacing the current Happy Hour time stamps currently stored on the product and the former start and end date of discounts.

• Alternative Price Discount – Revel has renamed the Product Happy Hour price to Alternative Price. You can create discounts that use this new price. So, if you generally promote your beer at the same lower price, set that on the product and call on it whenever you want. This will also let you set a variety of ‘reprices’ into the same discount. Say, the expensive beer is $3.00 off, but the cheap stuff is only $1.00 off. Set Alt prices on the products, put them in a Beer product group and you are set to go.

• Apply the Discount to the Qualification Group – When we first created volume discounts, the discounts were always applied to the +1 product. For example, a customer buys 2 pizzas, and gets a free drink. Another example is buy 3 shirts, and gets 30% off. You have to buy in sets of 3. If you buy 4, the 4th is at full price.

Serial Number Support- Revel in the past introduced serial numbers and expanded this functionality. That is to say, we would require and capture a random number and associated with the product as a Serial Number. Now if you enable “enforce serial number inventory” under Retail Settings, we will actually track individual numbers in inventory and sales, and sold numbers will have to match numbers in sales. The process for loading inventory will be different, as you won’t load quantity so much as lists of Serial Numbers. Please note we are awaiting Management Console updates. If you are interested please reach out to your Account Manager.

Major Enhancements 89 –This enhancement expands off our Role Permissions functionality. Now you can restrict employees from getting their Sales Summary report if they have open orders. -A Permission Setting controls called: Allow Sales Report with Open Orders. This only affects the Employee sales report, not the Manager/Financials one. Revel POS will warn users for un-synced but closed orders.

Establishments & Station Name w/Payment Logs – We now add the Establishment and Station name to the Payment Log when we email it.

“Is hot” – Revel has now incorporated the ability to mark your modifiers “Is hot” and they will turn cold items hot. So now if you put hot bacon on your cold sandwich it will make the entire sandwich.

Presets for Voids/Returns/Exchanges/ & Payouts – You can now create preset void/return/exchange and payout reasons in the backend. The iPad will offer them up for Voids, Returns and Payouts. Please wait for updates on exchanges in future Release Notes. You can still manually type a reason if you like.

Open Orders & Sales Summary Report’s Update – On the iPad Sales Summary report, we have moved the list of open orders to right below the statement that there *are* open orders.

Call Names & Customer Name with Zebra Printer Update – If you have either a call name or a customer name, but you do not have the other, we will print whatever’s on the ticket on the Zebra Recipe Label.

Catering Orders & Cold Taxation Rules – Catering Orders are now subject to Cold Taxation rules.

Edit Item Screen Updates – The Item details page has been slightly reformatted. The Special Request box is now smaller, allowing us to fit more buttons on the page without swiping.

Rounding Cash Button Update – By upcoming management console setting, we will display the rounding button for Cash Amount on the iPad (unless you have the Currency Converter running). We will also be adding this to the Customer Display Unit soon.

Hide Default Modifiers Setting– The setting to suppress Default Mods on the *Order* screen is now in the POS application.

Hide Prompts Updates – The ability to suppress prompts by POS station is supported in 1512. Please set your default prompts. Go to the POS station settings and select the ones you do not want to appear on a particular station. Please upgrade to 1512 to take advantage of this functionality.

Weights on KDS – We now send Weights to the KDS/Kitchen Printers. This is particularly helpful when you want to know how many

Finding Orders Across Multiple Establishments – We will look in all establishments if you try to find an order by Serial Number. You still won’t be able to *open* the order from a differing establishment, but you will know who bought the item (assuming a customer was attached to the order).

Datalogic Magellan 8400 Integration – We are now integrated with the Datalogic Magellan 8400 flatbed scanner/scale.

Restrictions to Returns/Exchanges – By future backend setting, you can limit the number of days beyond which you will not accept a return or Exchange. If you try to return an item after too many days, the iPad will alert that you have exceeded the numbers of days. If the proper permission is set in Roles you can override this.

Modifier Prices & Receipts – We changed again how we display modifier prices on the receipt (assuming you display them at all). Now, they we show the original product price plus the modifier prices below.

PayPal Processing & IDTech – Added IDTech card swipe to PayPal Credit processing. Please reach out to your Account Manager for details.

Delivery/Catering Post Codes– By future backend setting, you will be able to limit your delivery/catering area to a set of postcodes. Add a customer to an order, we will check against a list of inputted codes and tell you if the person is too far away.

Retail & Inventory Updates – If you are in Retail Mode, you will no longer see references to Waste. It will be Damage instead.

Fire Courses Print In Red– Fire Course X prints in Red. Please note not all printers print in red.
