The Earth’s LandformsHow do Geographers begin to divide the Earth’s landforms?

Geographers first divide the world into the 7 continents. The 7 continents are;Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Africa, Australia, and Antarctica

•Continent vs. Country

A continent is a huge area of land that is on the Earth’s crust. Countries are divisions of the world by governments, people, and boundaries.

What are the physical features of each continent?

Each of them have different features like mountains, hills, lakes, valleys and more.

•Isthmus, A narrow piece of land that connects two landmasses and separates two bodies of water. Example, Central America.

•Mountains & Hills

Mountains are the highest landform. They are steep and have a high peak. The Himalayas & the Rockies.Hills are not as high as mountains and are rounder than mountains. The Kettleman & Black Hills.

•Plateaus are higher than surrounding land and have at least one steep side, a cliff.
