Christmas is a wonderful time of the year! Thank God for the Bible and the Holy Spirit both of

which reveal to us the truth: God's holiness, and our sinfulness; God's provision, and our need;

God's grace, and our need for grace; God's perfect Gift of salvation, and our privilege to receive

Him. When Jesus came, a Great Light shone in the darkness. I believe we are again living in a

time of darkness. At least with all of the technology available, we are more aware of it. Light is

never so appreciated as when we are in darkness. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming to rescue us

and to transfer us from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light!

3 December 2017

Dear Friends and Family,

Like us, you are probably wondering where the year has gone. Christmas is just a few

weeks away and then the New Year will be here. The next few weeks are very busy for

us.

Susan is in her last week of her Master's course and will be finished by next weekend. Add the end-of-year

Director responsibilities at CAM and directing the Christmas program "The Light before Christmas", which

will be next Friday, Dec. 8th. She will need your prayers. Last year we had a terrible storm during the

Christmas program, so pray for good weather. The kids have worked so hard to prepare and we want their

parents to enjoy all the Lord is doing in their lives.

I continue to keep busy with treasurer work and mission administration and overseeing all the

maintenance and work on the campus. PTL the duplex remodeling is almost finished and will be ready for

new missionary families soon.

The new boundary wall now has razor wire on top of most of it and should be finished this month. The

workers are all ready for a break, and so are we. Pray for protection of our missionary team over the

holidays as many will be traveling. Pray for protection over our campus and our homes. Pray for our

workers safety as we appreciate all they do throughout the year.

Pray for a good completion of the semester for CAM school as the students have exams soon and school

ends on the 14th.

Pray for us as we prepare to leave for Indiana on the 13th. Susan's graduation from Indiana Wesleyan is on

the 16th in Marion, IN. She has been asked to be the student speaker. We are praying for good weather

so we can make all the flight connections and traveling to/from Marion.

After Graduation, we will spend a few days at OMS HQ in Greenwood, IN where I am arranging a shipment

of new library books and 37 rolls of Kraft paper for CAM. Pray for this as I am having difficulties arranging

a shipping agent and time is going quickly.

On Dec. 21st we will work our way from Indiana to Buffalo, NY and then up to Hamilton, ON, Canada to

spend the holidays with Susan's Dad, Nathan and Anne Krampitz. It will be a special time to be with them

and to visit dear friends. It will be good to have some "down" time after such a busy year. We head back

on January 6th and arrive the 8th.

Your prayers for all these things and more are appreciated.

May you have a wonderful Christmas, filled with the Joy of knowing Jesus as our Wonderful Savior.

in Christ,

Larry & Susan

Dear Friends,

Last month I explained about the holiday of Rosh Hashanah, which began the fall feasts of Israel. Since

then, we have observed and celebrated several more significant holidays, which enabled us to remember

God’s faithfulness as well as preach the Gospel to a number of non-believing Jewish people.

After Rosh Hashanah we observed Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). This holiday remembers how God

cleansed Israel from their sins. On this holiday, as observed in Leviticus 16, the High Priest sacrifices

animals and takes their blood and sprinkles it before God in the Holy of Holies for the sins of himself, the

priests, and all the people of Israel, which atones for the nation’s sins for another year.

The fulfillment of this holiday will come when Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) returns, cleanses the nation

(Zechariah 13:1) and establishes a relationship, once again, with the nation of Israel, where He will write

His law on their hearts. They will all know Him and He will forgive their sins (Jeremiah 31:31-34).

I explained that because Messiah has come and been sacrificed for mankind, all that God will do for Israel

is available for Jewish and Gentile people today.

The third holiday of Sukkot (Tabernacles) reminds us how God dwelt with His people in the wilderness,

after redeeming them from the slavery of Egypt. I shared that as God in the past gathered His people and

cleansed them from their sins, He was now able to dwell and live in their midst. So, also in the future, God

will regather His people (Rosh Hashanah), cleanse the nation (Yom Kippur), and finally dwell with them

(Sukkot). Today, also, if we believe in Yeshua’s sacrifice, God will forgive our sins, cleanse us and come to

live and dwell in us.

Finally, I was on the radio with a well-known Messianic Jewish radio host who has a weekly broadcast

across America. I was able to explain our holidays, answer questions, and share how Gentile believers can

share all these holidays with their Jewish friends and neighbors.

Thank you for giving me this opportunity through your faithful prayers and support.

In our Messiah’s service,

Larry and Fran Feldman

DEVOTIONAL

Judgment Free

“Do not judge so that you will not be judged.” Matthew 7:1

Every surface of the cell oozed with self-righteousness. Along with my fellow prisoners, I combed

the Scriptures deciding whom to denounce outside our bars. By incremental arguments, we

redefined acceptable to mean just like us. We wrote out the names of those we exposed and

chanted their infractions. The name of our dungeon was Judgmental.

One morning the door scraped open and a shaft of light cut through the gloom. My grinning

Savior strode to the corner with His hand extended.

“All right friend, enough of this nastiness. Let’s get you out of here.”

He led me into a world of glimmering beauty. There were bright skies, pounding waterfalls, and

space—open space everywhere. My Lord proclaimed me forgiven and showed me laughter and

music.

I knew so little of what free people did that I felt out of place. Seeking the door of my prison, I

found my cronies still there. They had my name on their lists. To appease them, I found my old

notebook and read some names aloud. But the fetid air began to take its toll and I had to get

out.

Tucking the notebook under my arm, I pushed the door until a strong hand stopped it halfway. I

peered into the face of my shining Friend.

“Not with that thing you don’t.” He nodded at the list. “You can stay in there to condemn others,

or you can live free out here. But what you cannot do is accept My forgiveness, live in My land,

and keep that notebook. Not one page or a single accusation, they must all stay behind. Choose.”

Prayer: “Lord Jesus, I choose to let You be the Judge.”

abdomen. She and Jim went to the consultation with the radiologist this week. She will have the first appointment on Friday. The actual radiation will not start for another week or so after that. The goal is to interrupt the growth of the tumor and shrink it down at least small enough to take the pressure off of other organs so the pain will go away. Please pray for success with that, and continue to pray for God’s will to heal. Kris thanks all of you. Continue to pray for healing.

PRAYER NEEDS & PRAISE: PRAYER NEEDS & PRAISE: PRAYER NEEDS & PRAISE: PRAYER NEEDS & PRAISE: 1. AUSTIN PARKER AUSTIN PARKER AUSTIN PARKER AUSTIN PARKER last Thursday was able to be seen at Seattle Children's Hospital. The neurologist basically confirmed the diagnosis we were given in the ER at OMC (sydenham chorea) . They did an echo cardiogram (which was normal; no signs of infection) and blood work before we left. The doctor called Friday and said most of the labs were back and normal, and that at this point they were treating it as acute rheumatic fever (since he had strep and then the chorea). Anti-seizure medicine was started to help with chorea (muscle movements) and also antibiotics which will be long term (through adulthood). Austin saw the cardiologist this past Friday in Seattle. It might be a while before life returns to "normal", or to a new "normal". God is walking right beside us and answering our prayers. Austin has missed quite a bit of school and is very overwhelmed catching up. Pray for him and us to think clearly and be calm. Also continue to pray for his recovery and our safety traveling. Much thanks to those who have asked about Austin, said they are praying and have sent cards. It means so much. 2.
