The goal of Title I is to provide a higher quality of education for every child
Renaissance Charter School at CS is a Title I school for the 2016-17 SY
RCSCS implements schoolwide intervention & enrichment programs for students in grade K-8. .
Broward County SchoolsIdentifies eligible school based on schools percentage of students
eligible for free/reduced price lunch
Florida Department of Education
Distributes funding to each school district
Federal GovernmentProvides funding to states yearly for Title I
Schoolwide Program Requirements: RCSCS schoolwide program
shall include the following components:
◦ A comprehensive needs assessment of the entire school with information
about the academic achievement of children in relation to the state academic
content standards.
◦ Schoolwide reform strategies that:
Provide opportunities for all children to meet the state's proficient and advanced
levels of student academic achievement.
Use effective methods and instructional strategies based on scientific research that:
Strengthen the core academic program in the school aligned to Florida State
Standards
Increase the amount and quality of learning time, by providing an after-school
tutoring program paired with an enriched and accelerated curriculum.
Additional Staff◦ 4: Interventionists and 2: Curriculum Resource Teachers
Additional training for school staff
Extra time for instruction (After school programs)

Priority/Focus: Support learning gains for all learners◦ Essential Targeted Small Group Instruction
◦ Intervention Block & RtI instruction based on NWEA Skills/Standards
Be involved and request regular meetings to expression your opinions and concerns;
Be provided information on your child’s level of achievement on assessments like FSA/EOC assessments in reading/language arts, mathematics, and science;
Request and receive information on the qualifications of your child’s teacher; and
Be informed if your child is taught by a non-highly qualified teacher for four or more consecutive weeks.

• One of the best possible ways of increasing the engagement of
parents/caregivers in student learning
• Map the pathway that a student needs to follow to achieve learning
goals
• PLPs describe a clear destination for the student in terms of goals
for learning
• Students will be revising PLPs after each report card and creating
goals for the following quarter.
