Vietnam war legacies
The US army used approx. 15.35 milliontons of munitions during wartime, 800tons of unexploded ordnance remainscattered.
6,6 million hectares of land confirmed tobe contaminated, accounting for 21 % of
the countrys total area.
42.135 deaths and 62.163 injuries dueto UXO accidents. Most of them havebeen breadwinners and children.

Victim Assistance
Goal: Build up local emergencyresponse capacity and help improvelivelihoods of UXO victims.
Interventions:
Training first responders includingmedical workers, volunteers andresidents.
