High performance
The state-of-the-art 32-bit floating-point digital
signal processor delivers the highest level of
computation accuracy currently available on the
market. The control panel contains a microprocessor
specially designed for high performance solutions
in complex control applications.
Space Vector Modulation Technology
Thanks to the control algorithms used, Space
Vector Modulation (SVM) enables the inverters to
offer support services to the grid. The inverters
work in the four quadrants of active and reactive
power.
The main advantage of SVM is that the inverter
has two independent control loops for active power
P and reactive power Q. This makes it possible to
work at night in STATCOM mode, i.e., to only offer
reactive power, even if no active power is available.
This algorithm also enables harmonic filtration up
to the seventh harmonic.
Protection
The inverter incorporates a level II DC surge
protector, through the integration of fuses per
input, with independent measurement capability
for module fault detection, as well as a ground
fault detection system.
Configuration of facilities
Jema’s engineering team provides technical
support to all customers. Customisation allows
optimal configuration of the photovoltaic plant
and takes into account external variables, such as
grid codes (reactive management at rated power),
environmental conditions (altitude) or DC panel
configuration (MPPT optimisation and voltage
tracking).
Range of Solar Inverters
Jema photovoltaic inverters are designed for commercial and utility scale PV Plants. All inverters are bi-
directional and can serve as dual use PV and battery chargers.

design and high performance.
• Redundant, variable ventilation with a physical separation of the DC, AC and power zones, as well as the AC filters’ IGBTs.
• Maintenance of the filters is carried out from the outside. There is no need to open door or stop the inverter from operating during cleaning tasks to replace the filters.
• Each inverter compartment has independent climate management.
• A system developed to increase the plant’s
reliability.
MAIN FEATURES
• Highest reliability (long-lasting components)
• Night reactive power compensation
• Grid support (VRT and FRT)
• SVM Advanced Control Algorithm (Space Vector Modulation)
• DHC technology (digital harmonic correction)
• Advanced thermal adjustment control
• High performance operating mode
• Integrated motorised circuit breakers in the DC part
• IP54 rating (IP65 for DC connections)
• Ground fault measurement
1000 Vdc IFX2 andIFX3 Series
Jema photovoltaic inverters offer large advantages for your commercial and utility scale PV Plant. All inverters are bi-directional and can serve as dual use PV and battery chargers.
Design and performance
• The independent and modular power columns enable optimum performance in the event of low irradiance or the failure of one column.
• Master/slave mode enables maximum efficiency in the event of low irradiance by concentrating all the energy in a single column.
• Capacity to manage reactive power.
• Anti-islanding with automatic disconnection.
• Design according to anti-seismic guidelines.
• Dual bi-directional inverter: battery charger capability.
• Indoor and outdoor systems.
17 \ Renewable Energy Solutions
High temperature performance
IFX inverters are designed to work at high temperatures
without derating. All inverters ensure nominal power
to an ambient temperature of 50°C, maximising
performance in the event of extreme heat.
The inverters are composed of columns or independent
power units to optimise the thermal regulation system.
Each column therefore has a separate ventilation
system that can efficiently regulate the temperature of
the critical system components.
This design structure offers ventilation by levels by
activating and deactivating the fans depending on the
temperature. It is also able to reduce the consumption
of auxiliary power and increase system redundancy.

Smart Grid, Global Management and Communications
Jema Energy offers smart grid equipment and inverter control software for different energy sources, such as: PV, diesel and energy storage systems (batteries, supercapacitors, fly-wheel based systems). In addition, Jema Energy provides the monitoring controller and the interface with the grid manager’s control system for optimum performance.
• Global Smart Grid Controller
• Interoperable communication system
• Electronic power inverters for generation and storage
• Electric vehicle integration (V2G & G2V)
• Total power flow control
• Maximisation of the renewable energy source
Jema was recently chosen to be the lead designer
in a multi-vendor Microgrid pilot project funded by
the Spanish Government. The aim of the project
was to create an interoperable microgrid based on
the IEEE 802.3 standard.
It therefore seeks to provide greater grid
efficiency and reliability and to improve the safety
and quality of the power supply in accordance
with the requirements of the digital age. This
smart microgrid integrates different distributed
renewable generators (micro wind turbine, PV
inverter, fuel cells) and storage technologies
(supercapacitors, flywheel, Li-ion battery).
It manages energy efficiently, optimises resources,
and energy is distributed automatically and
intelligently. Furthermore, it saves energy,
increases reliability, reduces costs and optimises
the generation infrastructure.
