Group Picnic Area Cancellation

Policy

Your rental fee will be

due when making the reservation.

REFUNDS: No refunds will be given for lack of

attendance or inclement weather. If the

cancellation is requested more than fourteen

days prior to the event, 25% of the base fee will

be retained as a cancellation fee. No refund

will be given if the cancellation is requested any

time within the fourteen days prior to the

rental event date.

You may pay by cash, check or Visa, MasterCard

or Discover. All checks should be made out to

Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Refunds are strictly at the Park Manager’s

discretion. If it is feasible you may be able to

reschedule for an open date if there is a severe

emergency or weather conditions occurs on the

rental date. Please be aware there is no

guarantee the date can be rescheduled; it is

strictly at the Park Manager’s discretion.

Mariner Point

Group Picnic Area

Mariner Point Group Picnic (GPA) is located within Boyd Lake State Park. This popular covered shelter sits a top a small ridge over looking Boyd Lake and the marina on its own peninsula.

The Mariner Point GPA has 20 (eight foot long) picnic tables which can accommodate approximately 200 peo-ple. With expansive counter space, a stainless steel sink, and 2 large charcoal grills, barbecuing is a breeze! A fireplace is also within the pavilion shelter, along with electrical lighting and outlets. Mariner Point also boasts its own private parking lot, volleyball court and horseshoe pits. (Please bring your own volleyball. Horseshoe rental is available for $5.00). The kids will be excited when they see the playground. Innovative compost restrooms are located next to the sheltered area. The private boat ramp at the GPA can be used to park and off/on load passengers only. RESERVATIONS Reservations are accepted up to 180 days in advance for mid May-mid September. It is available from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. The fee is due at the time of reservation. We accept cash, check or Visa/MasterCard/Discover. See

To make a reservation, check the Reservation Calendar to see if the date is available. Then print the Rental Agreement found on at the Boyd Lake from Group Picnic Area page , and submit with payment via mail, in per-son, email or fax. You will receive a confirmation letter within 3 days of submission, or a notification that the

date is already reserved.

GPA Regulations

The following regulations apply to the Group Picnic

Area:

All vehicles and trailers including BBQs, catering

vehicles and delivery units must remain in the

parking lot at all times. Vehicles are NOT permit-

ted under the shelter or on the sidewalk for any

reason.

All vehicles must display a valid park pass.

No fireworks.

Pets must remain on a leash.

Swimming is prohibited, except at the Swim

Beach.

Please note that upon arrival and at exit the

responsible party will perform a walk through with a

Park Officer to check the conditions of the premises.
