New Building of the Albrecht-Drer-School The urban Project
Management Association IDR AG is building a newvocational college
on the area Neue Paulsmhle in Dusseldorf for4700 vocational
students. The construction costs for the school includingcanteen,
triple gym and parking garage are approx. 70 Mio Euro.
The building was designed by the archi-tecture firm Rhode
Kellermann Wawrow-sky (RKW). The design of the frontrecreates some
elements from industrialbuildings, which were settled on this
sitefor decades and from buildings in theneighborhood as well. Due
to the railro-ads nearby, the classrooms are alignedtowards the
courtyard. The medium-sized, owner-managedconstruction group
Depenbrock isresponsible for the turnkey constructionof this
project. With 10 locations and900 employees, Depenbrock covers
theentire range of services from generalconstruction and civil
engineering,hydraulic engineering, turnkey construc-tion and
building management.
Optimization of construction time is important The optimization
of the constructiontime was crucial to Thomas Richter, theproject
manager, because the time sche-dule of the site is ambitious. After
layingof the foundation stone on 29th of Sep-tember, 2016, the
completion is plannedfor April 2018.For this purpose they used for
exampleprecast concrete parts, in order to keepa high performance
even during the winter. BAMTEC elements were used toreduce the
shell construction time. Theslabs are reinforced simple and fast
withthe well-known rolled reinforcement ele-ments.Mindener
Stahlhandel, BAMTEC Partnersince 2015, provided 230 tons of
BAMTECReinforcement, 150 tons of reinforce-ment mesh and 600 tons
of loose bar.The BAMTEC design department desi-gned the BAMTEC
elements accordingto the specifications from the engineersof
Depenbrock.
Hollow body slab with BEEPLATE Three hollow body slabs were
built withthe BEEPLATE honeycomb slab system.Based on positive
experience during theconstruction of the Trianel Headquater
project in Aachen with the BEEPLATEsystem, the same system was
chosenhere again. The design and construction was accom-panied by
the BEEPLATE team. Theinstallation plan was already based onthe
General Building Approval, whichhas recently been granted
(Z-15.1-329).
Building grows hourly The builder, engineer and IDR-bossEkkehard
Vincon is delighted by the fastconstruction progress and documents
itby means of pictures taken by a drone.The images show the
fastness in whichthe building is progressing. The 4.700 students
barely are able toawait the new school year 2018/2019
A time capsule with current daily papers, drawingsand a current
set of Euro coins and a USB stick withthe designs were bricked into
the foundation stone.

Projektentwicklungsgesellschaft IDR AG baut auf demAreal Neue
Paulsmhle in Dsseldorf ein neues Berufskolleg fr 4.700Berufsschler.
Die Baukosten fr die Schule mit Mensa, 3-fach Turnhalleund Parkhaus
betragen ca. 70 Mio. Euro.
Das Gebude wurde vom ArchitekturbroRhode Kellermann Wawrowsky
(RKW)entworfen. Durch die Gestaltung derFassade wird es Elemente
von Industrie-bauten, die ber Jahrzehnte an diesemStandort standen
und auch in der Nach-barschaft vorhanden sind, aufnehmen.Wegen der
in der Nhe vorbeifahrendenEisenbahn wurden die Klassenrum
zumInnenhof hin ausgerichtet.Verantwortlich fr die
schlsselfertigeErstellung ist die Inhaber gefhrte, mit-telstndische
Depenbrock Bau-Gruppe.Depenbrock deckt mit 10 Standortenund 900
Mitarbeitern das gesamte Lei-stungsspektrum vom Hoch- und
Tiefbau,Ingenieur- und Wasserbau, Schlssel-fertigbau und
Gebudemanagement ab.
Der Mindener Stahlhandel, seit 2015BAMTEC Partner, hat 230
Tonnen BAMTEC Bewehrung, 150 Tonnen Bau-stahlmatten und 600 Tonnen
Betonstahlgeliefert. Die BAMTEC Planungsabtei-lung hat die BAMTEC
Elemente nachVorgaben der Ingenieure von Depen-brock geplant.
Hohlkrperdecken mit BEEPLATEDrei geplante Hohlkrperdecken
wurdenmit dem BEEPLATE Deckensystem aus-gefhrt. Auf der Grundlage
positiverErfahrungen mit dem BEEPLATE Systemim Bauvorhaben Trianel
Headquater inAachen wurde dieses System auch hiergewhlt.
Die Planung und Ausfhrung wurdedurch das BEEPLATE Team betreut.
Die Montageanleitung orientierte sichbereits an der krzlich
erteilten Allge-meinen bauaufsichtlichen Zulassung
(Z-15.1-329).
Gebude wchst stndlichDer Bauherr, Ingenieur und IDR-ChefEkkehard
Vincon freut sich ber denschnellen Baufortschritt und dokumen-tiert
diesen mit Bildaufnahmen einerDrohne. Die Geschwindigkeit, in der
dasGebude entsteht, wird auf den Bildernsichtbar. Die 4.700 Schler
knnen das Schuljahr2018/2019 sicher kaum erwarten.
Optimierung der Bauzeit ist wichtigThomas Richter, dem
Projektleiter wardie Optimierung der Bauzeit wichtig.Denn der
Zeitplan der Baustelle istambitioniert. Nach der Grundsteinle-gung
am 29.09.2016 ist die Fertigstel-lung im April 2018 geplant. Zu
diesem Zweck werden z.B. Stahlbeton-fertigteile eingesetzt um die
Bauleistungauch im Winter hoch zu halten. Fr eineVerkrzung der
Rohbauzeit werdenBAMTEC Elemente verwendet. Mit denbekannten,
aufgerollten Bewehrungs-elementen werden die Decken einfachund
schnell bewehrt.

Ortbetonwnde mit BAMTEC?Ja, mit der Lsung BAMTEC WALL
wirtschaftlich, sicher und einfach
Ortbetonwnde zu bewehren ist beson-ders aufwndig und
anstrengend. DerEinbau von Stabstahl ist besonders zeit-aufwndig.
Zur Reduktion des Aufwandswird daher gerne auch eine Baustahl-matte
plus evtl. notwendiger Stabstahl-zulagen verwendet. Der
Einbauaufwandreduziert sich dann zwar, jedoch steigtder
Materialverbrauch zufolge Verschnittund zustzlichen
Bewehrungssten.
Mit der BAMTEC WALL Lsung knnenim Vergleich zu Baustahlmatten
bis zu20% Stahl und 70% der Verlegezeit eingespart werden.
Die Lsung BAMTEC WALL Gemeinsam mit der Pfeifer Seil-
undHebetechnik GmbH, Memmingen wurdenMattenhaken entwickelt mit
denen esjetzt mglich ist vorgefertigte BAMTECBewehrungselemente
auch in Wndeneinzusetzen.
Dazu werden zwei BAMTEC Elementeauf der Bodenplatte ausgerollt
unddurch verrdeln zu einer inneren undeiner ueren Matte gebunden.
Mittels der zertifizierten Transporthakenvon Pfeifer werden die
Matten aufge-richtet und in die Schalung gehoben. Es ist mglich die
bis zu 100 m2 grossenWandmatten in nur 10 Minuten in dieSchalung zu
heben.
Thus, the realization of the building shellcan be speeded up to
an ever higherextent.
BAMTEC WALL modified designThe BAMTEC easy software was
furtherdeveloped in order to modify the designof traditional
reinforcement drawings.With version 9 an efficient software is
now available to design walls with BAMTEC as well.

Reinforcing in-situ concrete walls is verytime-consuming and
exhausting. Theinstallation of loose bar is
extremelytime-consuming. To reduce this effort,reinforced mesh plus
possibly necessaryloose bar additions are often used.
Theinstallation effort is indeed reduced the-reby, but the material
consumption isincreased due to waste and additionalconstruction
joints.
The BAMTEC WALL solution enablessteel savings of up to 20% and
installa-tion time savings of up to 70% compa-red to reinforcement
mesh.
The BAMTEC WALL solutionIn collaboration with Pfeifer Seil-
undHebetechnik GmbH, Memmingen wedeveloped meshhooks especially for
theusage of prefabricated BAMTEC reinfor-cement elements for
walls.Thereby, two BAMTEC elements are rolledout on the slab. The
elements are tiedtogether to an interior and exterior mat.
The mats are lifted and installed into theformwork by means of
certified trans-port hooks by Pfeifer. It is possible to liftand
install mats with a dimension of upto 100 m2, in only 10 minutes.
Therefore, part of this dangerous andtime-consuming work during
reinforce-ment of walls is not any longer necessary.

Partnersfrom 16 countries met under the motto fast easy
efficient.
Information about BAMTEC is availablenot only on the BAMTEC
website andBAMTEC Reports, but also on YouTubeand LinkedIn. Our
activities on LinkedInwill be intensified in future. The focus was
on the practical imple-mentation of BAMTEC in combinationwith
prefabricated and welded reinfor-cement. Some projects were
shown,which illustrated the construction timereduction that was
achieved.
Assambling instead of binding of steel is the future
The BAMTEC software is used for effi-cient BAMTEC design by the
producers.Therefore, the report about the latestfurther
developments could not be missed.The popular local band LOSAMOL
entertained us in the evening. Altogether, it was a very
successfulmeeting.
