Visitor traffic started with an increasing trend from 14000 to25000 at year end 2009. Beginning of 2010 has witnessed a

declining trend from 25000 visitors in January to 21000 inAugust 2010. A significant increase in 2009 was a jump of 5000 visitors from June - July. On the other hand, from Mar-April 2010, a 5000- decrease in incoming traffic is seen.

On average, bounce rate was 37% in the year 2009. Theyear 2010 is showing bounce rates on average 42%.

 The average number of new visitors in 2009 has been 69%while the year 2010 is experiencing an average 80% of newvisitors from the total traffic.

Conversion rates have also dropped from 0.45 in the year

2009 to 0.33 in 2010.

 The year 2009(Jan-Aug) shows a per order value of $292with an average price of $151. Conversely 2010 shows abetter picture from Jan-Aug with per order value of $359 andan average price of $166.

Conclusion

Business requires at least 35000traffic/month by year end. Thiscould be achieved by first jump

starting the traffic from5000/month and a gradualincrease of 2000/month till yearend

Increasing bounce ratepercentages show the irrelevancyand unattractiveness of the webpages. An ideal bounce rate must

be around 30% in order to achieveoptimal conversion rates. Bouncerates can be optimized byallocating right keywords,providing assurance services tovisitors and making the navigationalong the website easier by betteruser interface.

 The increase in number of newvisitors may lead to higher bouncerates as we see is happening now.Retaining and calling back oldcustomers may be more profitableand may give higher per ordervalues.

A drop of 12% in conversion ratesmean that if there are currently
