INTRODUCTION• The West African College of Nursing, Faculty of Community Health
Nigeria chapter organize free Health Screening program for Ilero day on 14th Dec., 2012 for
1. Hypertension 2. Diabetes 3. Visual Acuity (Short and Long sightedness) 4.Treatment of minor illnesses with counseling & referrals • The 18-man team including four health officials from the LGA PHC
Centre worked relentlessly till late evening. Two hundred and fifty clients were seen

CONCLUSION
• Hypertension is the most major health problem out of the three health conditions screened for (52.8%)
• The second major problem is Visual Acuity (35%) and the third is Diabetes (14%)
• The women are more affected with the three conditions screened

RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Screening should be extended to all the people including those who did not come for the first screening because they erroneously thought that they are well
2. The Ilero Health Team should embark on community campaign to create awareness about the factors that make people to be at risk for the three health conditions
3. Greater attention should be placed on the health conditions of the female population
