About the Training program:

Department of Civil Engineering organizing a Five-Day Workshop on “Structural and foundation analysis” using the soft wares SAPE-2000, ETABA, BRIDGE, SAFE” during 25th – 29 th July 2016under TEQIP-II.

The primary objective of the short term course is to give training on ETABS, SAPE- 2000, BRIDGE, SAFE has been recognized as the industry standard for Building Analysis and Design Software. Today, continuing in the sametradition, ETABS has evolved into a completely Integrated Building Analysis and Design Environment. The integrated model can include Moment Resisting Frames, Braced Frames, Staggered Truss Systems, Frames with Reduced Beam Sections or Side Plates, Rigid and Flexible Floors, Sloped Roofs, Ramps and Parking Structures, Mezzanine Floors, Multiple Tower Buildings and Stepped Diaphragm Systems with Complex Concrete, Composite or Steel Joist Floor Framing Systems. Solutions to complex problems such as Panel Zone Deformations, Diaphragm Shear Stresses, and Construction Sequence Loading are now at your fingertips. ETABS is the solution, whether you are designing a simple 2D frame or performing a dynamic analysis of a complex high-rise that utilizes non-linear dampers for inter-story drift control. Inaugural Session:

On 25th

july 2016 first day of the workshop, the proceedings began with inauguration ceremony, with the esteemed presence of Convenor & and HOD of Civil engineering Dr.U.Venkatapathi Raju, along with co-ordinators Mr.P.Janalirama Raju, Mr.B.venkatesh and Resource persons Mr. Satadru Chowdhury Dr.U.Venkapathi Raju, Head, of civil Engineering Department, gave the

introductory speech about the schedule and features of the Program.

Resource Person gave the Speech related to workshop. Coordinator of this

program gave vote of thanks for this Inaugural session.

Note: If the above process is delayed, the respective delay will result in extension of workshop timings in the evening session.

Valedictory Function:

The last session of 5 th day was the valedictory session. The valedictory function was addressed by Convenor & and HOD of Civil Engineering Department Dr.U.Venkapathiraju, Coordinator Mr.P.Janakirama Raju Mr.B.Venkatesh along with Resource person Mr. Satadru Chowdhury . Resource persons shared experiences about this Workshop. Certificates were distributed by the dignitaries present. The function ended with vote of thanks by Coordinator, Mr.P.Janaki rama Raju who expressed his gratitude towards all the dignitaries, participants and all other helping hands, which contributed towards the success of the event.
