Questionnaire development• Decision to pretest WG questions was made as a

follow up of the WG Regional meeting Nairobi – June 2005

• The WG Questions were pretested as part of the 2006 Uganda Demographic and Health Survey (UDHS)

• Included all the 6 WCG questions as was in cognitive test.

• Questionnaire was finalized before the 6th WG meeting – March 2006

• Data collection – May to Oct 2006

SURVEY DESIGN

• National sample of 8,870 households were selected from 368 EAs (clusters) as follows

321 EAs were from 2005/6 UNHS 30 EAs were Internally Displaced Peoples Camps

(IDP’s) 17 EAs were additional for Karamoja Region

• overd the entire country • Questions on disability were administered to all

household members aged 5 years +
