Representative John Becker 65 th House District State Representative John Becker is currently serving his fourth term at the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 65th House District in northwestern Clermont County, which includes parts of the cities of Loveland and Milford, the entirety of the villages of Newtonsville and Owensville, as well as Goshen, Miami, Stonelick, Union, and Wayne townships. Representative Becker has lived in Clermont County for most of his life and currently resides in the Eastgate area of Union Township. He has been married to his wife Dottie for 29 years and has two adult children. Becker earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from Northern Kentucky University and his MBA with an emphasis in taxation from Xavier University. Representative Becker has over 30 years’ experience in the private sector, including the manufacturing, managed healthcare, banking, and finance industries. He is a Certified Treasury Professional who currently operates a tax preparation business for individuals and small businesses. Additionally, Becker holds a school district treasurer’s license. Prior to joining the Ohio House of Representatives, Becker served eight years as a Republican State Central Committeeman representing southern Ohio, including the counties of Lawrence, Scioto, Adams, and Brown, in addition to his home county of Clermont. He has served his county party since 1993. Rep. Becker has received numerous awards recognizing his principled public service, including the William Wilberforce Elected Leadership award for upholding community values and improving the lives of Ohioans. Most recently, he was honored by the Republican Liberty Caucus of Ohio with the “Sponsor of Liberty” award for sponsoring more liberty-minded legislation than any other House Member.
