Dear fellow SFMTA employee, Today we are launching what may be our most important outreach campaign of the year as we mobilize teams of SFMTA Service Ambassadors to inform our customers of service changes taking effect this Saturday, Dec. 5. At this time we are in dire need of volunteers to fill empty assignments for all shifts through Dec. 11, particularly for weekend deployment on Dec. 5 and 6 in the Mission/Bernal Heights and Portrero Hill areas. Weekday morning shifts are from 7 to 11 a.m. Midday shifts are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and evening shifts are from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday’s shifts are from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday’s solo shift is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Those volunteering for weekend duty will receive Comp time or overtime for their services depending on their Memorandum of Understanding. It is imperative that we address this situation with a show of force reflective of the potential impact that these changes will have on many of our customers.
