Enclosed is a copy of AM36 Code Case 11-460, which was approved by AM on July 27, IM88. TVA has reviewed the application of this case and plans to apply it for the determination of the examination coverage for Class I and 2 welds at its nuclear plant sites. The use of this case would define what "essentially 100%" means in the notes of Tables 11-2500-1 and IDIC)2500-1 of Section 11, Division 1, of the Code and thus would reduce the number of welds/coaponents necessitating request for relief.
