Required Text: Campbell Biology, Concepts & Connections. 7 th edition (2012) by Reece, Taylor, Simon, and Dickey Either version is OK to purchase or rent The cover of the 2 nd edition custom book sold at our bookstore; $126 new, $94 used at Saddleback Bookstore The cover of the “regular” 7 th edition; $200 new, $150 at the bookstore. The edition being sold at Saddleback’s bookstore this semester is a shortened custom version of the 7 th edition. It has a frog on the green cover. This custom edition was made using the chapters we need for this class, to save you the cost of the longer book. Only a few chapters were deleted, and you can buy it from the bookstore, or rent it for $63. You’ll be just fine with the “regular” version, which is what you’ll get if you order it from an online seller. Also, if you order this book from an online source, you will be OK with the 5 th or 6 th edition, except you will not have the online resources that the rest of the class does, and the review questions that I post from the book may not match what you have. If you go to the bookstore, and the text is not on the bookshelves, ask if they have more. If they do not, fill out the Textbook Reservation Form, and they will notify you when the book comes in, almost always within 2 days. Further, you will have priority for that book when it comes in. Required: Lab Manual for Biology 20 ($38.75, Saddleback Bookstore only) Called: CPSR (Saddleback College) Bio2 on the bookstore order website. It says that they are selling it USED. Don’t buy a USED one; you need every page, and a used one would have missing lab report pages!
