Medical Issues: When in doubt call 911 -AWC has a duty to seek help if it is obvious
they need medical attention
When 911 is called AWC PD is notified and will respond to offer aid and direct EMS to
location
Advise students of the procedure to call 911 /AWCPD or go to emergency call box for
help because the person needing medical attention could be YOU
Primary concern is safety of the students and staff
Every situation is different, so there is not always a clear cut response - so based on the
situation you are in use your best judgment
AWC Police are state certified officers

Available for escorts after class
Blue Box Phones – 19 on campus – once hit

Violence Police:
All AWC Employees are “Responsible” Employees A responsible employee is a College employee who has the
duty to report incidents of sexual violence or other student misconduct, or who a student could reasonably believe has the authority to do so.
RAISE System for Academic Integrity Education▪ Raising Academic Integrity Standards in Education
▪ The RAISE System educates students about academic integrity and cheating. Students log on and access the training module. The entire module will take your students approximately 55 minutes to complete. They are tested and must view all sections and pass tests to successfully complete the module.

Conduct Process First Violation: Professor addresses and
assigns consequence, files IR with Conduct Office, Conduct Office send follow up letter to student.
Second Violation: Academic Dean meets with the student. Documentation sent to Campus Life.
Third violation: Student referred to a Conduct Board ( 2 academic Deans and the Conduct Officer).
Call the Crisis Line- 1-866-495-6735 (the student will talk to the clinician or
you can talk on behalf of the student). The trained clinician will triage the call depending on the information given.
Call Campus Police- alert them of the situation and ask for assistance
