Workshops
BioinformaticsThe workshop is designed to teach compu-tational skills and methods, primarily aimed at Xenopus wet lab biologists, to enable them to establish a degree of autonomy in processing and computational analysis of experimental data. Researchers are taught a comprehensive set of basic computing skills so that when they leave they are able to work independently and effectively using the newest set of software and tools. Anal-ysis of RNAseq, shotgun proteomics and ChIP-seq data is covered.
Advanced ImagingThe week-long practical workshop is designed to provide hands-on training in advanced imaging in Xenopus in both live and fixed tissue, including computational post-processing. Many embryological techniques for dissecting and preparing embryos for imaging are also taught.

Transgenic Reporter LinesThe NXR breeds, maintains and distributes community generated transgenic lines.
Custom TransgenicsThe NXR creates custom transgenic lines for individual investigators on a made-to-order basis.
Custom KnockoutsThe NXR creates custom knockout lines in X. tropicalis or X. laevis using either TALEN or CRISPR/Cas on a made-to-order basis, including cloning the TALEN and sgRNA constructs.

NXR Resources
The National Xenopus Resource (NXR) is a part of the Eugene Bell Center for Regenerative Biology and Tissue Engineering at the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) in Woods Hole, Massachusetts.
The NXR creates, maintains and distributes transgenic and mutant Xenopus lines, runs workshops and hosts visiting researchers.
We offer the following services:
Research Hotel
The NXR Research Hotel offers a fee-based service for visiting scientists. The weekly fee provides researchers with a lab bench and use of equipment, chemicals and frogs.
The NXR also rents tank space and provides animal feeding and general care services to affiliated scientists.
