The newplaque contains more accurateinformation than a former plaque putup many years ago, which willremain Inside the building. The Old Town Tour Guide is in itsfifth printing, with 15,000 copiescurrently being di'stributed on aweekly basis, throughout Old Town, also at Ctly Halt, the Chamber ofCommerce. and in hotels andrestaurants in the area. Thousandsof these guides have gone into thehands of our local residents andtou rists. Each printing has had to berevised with added information and, Ibelieve, with each printing, it hasatso improved a rittle. Some time agoPhil Brigandi was kind enough toproofread one of the issues. Satan's breathseared the land, the embers smolderas flames diminishin morning mistsindistingujshablefrom the smoKy ,air'.

We COL.'9h,and thetrees dig their toesa little deeperto seek nourishment

OUf eyes bum fromflying grit and ash,an excuse for the tearsthat streak our cheeks.

Our momentary despairis replaced with hopeand unspoken resolve'We shail rebuild"echoes on facessurveying their losses.

As a tree forever carries the scarof a season of wildfires,so each person is markedby the unexpected, the horrific winds and flamesof the 2007 Firestorm.
