What is Plagiarism?What is Plagiarism?1. Copying directly from another person

(friend, book, website, presentation, anything)

2. Claiming another’s ideas as your own even if you change the wording

Plagiarism is a serious academic offense. It is much better to over-cite (reference more than is needed) than to under-cite!
