We offer a range of seat heights from 410mm - 510mm on many of our chairs. Ask our sales office for details.

pressure reliefAll chairs can be provided with pressure relief seat foams as an optional extra.

fabricsWe can supply a huge range of fabrics in price ranges to suit any pocket. We will work on a COM (Customers Own Material) basis and are happy to upholster in multiple fabrics, with contrast piping or with contrast seats. See page 71 for details of our range of upholstery finishes.

wood coloursWe offer a range of 6 standard wood colours on chairs, sofa’s and tables and can colour match to customers existing furniture on request.

On cabinet furniture we offer 4 colours as standard with an additional range of 12 colours available as specials.

The LRV’s for all the wood shades we offer are available from our sales office on request. The sales office can also provide colour swatches for all our standard colours.

nhs framework supplierWe are framework suppliers to the NHS on contract FAG16544 for ward and residential furniture and on contract FAG16206 for mental health furniture.

flame retardancyAll our furniture is suitable for medium hazard areas as defined by BS 7176. We use only contract grade CMHR foams and use fabrics which comply with BS 5852 crib5 as standard. We can produce furniture suitable for high hazard areas with crib7 testing if required.

chair framesOur frames are made from air or kiln dried European hard wood sourced from sustainably managed forests. We do not use softwoods or chipboards. Upholstered frames are constructed from glued, screwed and dowelled components. Show wood frames utilise comb and mortise & tenon joints for strength.

cabinet furniture and tablesWe manufacture in contract grade MFC, MF-MDF, HPL and beech veneer MDF. Cabinet drawers are metabox construction and carcass thickness a minimum of 18mm. See cabinet and tables section for further information.

finance offerFinance is available to reduce the upfront costs of larger schemes. Contact our sales office for details.

chair finishesWe use Medicote wood lacquer on all our sprayed finishes. This contains antibacterial agents to fight a wide range of bacteria including MRSA and Salmonella. All spraying is carried out to BS 6250 severe contract standard and involves 2 - 3 layers of lacquer to provide an ultra tough finish.

sustainabilityOur site is certified under the FSC® chain of custody standard, certificate SA-COC-002991. The chain of custody system ensures manufacturers source wood from sustainable sources. FSC® certified products are indicated with a

qualityOur quality system is compliant with ISO 9001:2015. We have tested many of our chairs to BS EN 16139:2013 tables to BS EN 15372:2008 and cabinet furniture to BS EN 16121:2013. Every item of furniture we produce is inspected at each stage of the manufacturing process and again before dispatch. Each craftsman signs off his work on a quality assurance slip that stays with the product all its life. A works reference number, on the same slip, provides full traceability.

Our wide range of tables are available with standard tops (beech veneer on an 18mm MDF core) or HPL tops (high pressure laminate on an 18mm MDF core). The latter is ideal for more demanding situations. Tops can be supplied round, square, rectangular ‘D’ ended or oval to a range of standard sizes as shown on page 47. All 4 legged tables are available with square, square taper or round taper legs. Queen Ann legs are also available on 4 legged low coffee tables. Rails can be cut away for wheelchair access.

The seat cushion on all Cambridge chairs is removable. Reversing the seat changes the seat depth to ensure an ergonomic sit. A seat depth of either 490mm or 525mm can be selected this way.

This reversibility also prolongs the life of the seat cushion by evening out the wear.

The base of the leg is chamfered to ensure the chair travels easily on these wheels when tilted.

The seat cushion is made up of a layer of Reflexion pressure relief seat foam over a Reflex foam base.

The Reflexion layer provides malleable pressure relief while the Reflex base ensures sufficient firmness to avoid the foam bottoming out with prolonged sitting.

The Reflexion layer is wrapped around the front and back (as the seat is reversible) to provide pressure relief to the backs of the legs of the patient.
