RESOLUTION R-21-072 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MANATEE COUNTY, FLORIDA, DECLARING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AS SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SUCH PROPERTY. WHEREAS, Manatee County (the "County"), a political subdivision of the State of Florida, holds title and possession to certain real property, acquired by Escheatment Tax Deed, recorded in Official Records Book 2616, Page 6848 of the Public Records of Manatee County, Florida; and WHEREAS, said property is hereby located at 50 th Avenue Terrace West, Bradenton, Florida 34207, further described in Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, the above referenced property is not needed for County purposes; and WHEREAS, Section 125.35, Florida Statutes, authorizes counties to sell any real property belonging to the County, whenever the Board determines that it is in the best interest of the county to do so, to the adjacent property owner by private sale or by public sale to the highest and best bidder for the particular use the Board deems to be the highest and best; and WHEREAS, the property is estimated to have an assessed land value of $500.00 for land and improvements pursuant to the value determined by the Property Appraiser. NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Manatee County, Florida that : 1. The aforementioned property is not needed for a public purpose and the County hereby declares said property described in Exhibit "A" as surplus. 2. 1. The aforementioned property is not needed for a public purpose and the County hereby declares said property described in Exhibit "A" as surplus.

2. The Board determines it to be in the best interest of the County to sell the Property described in Exhibit "A" to an adjacent property owner via private sale.

3. In the event that no adjacent property owner bids on the Property, the Board determines it to be in the best interest of the County to sell the Property described in Exhibit "A" via public sale to the highest and best bidder for the particular use the Board deems to be the highest and best.

Subdivision.• A jurisdictional review for surplus was sent out in March 2021, and there were no

objections to selling the property as surplus.• The 2020 tax assessed value is $500.00.

• Upon adoption of Resolution R-21-072, said parcel will be designated surplus and certifiedletters will be sent to all adjacent property owners. The property will be sold to the highestbidder via private sale in accordance with the Surplus Lands Ordinance 14-26 and FloridaStatute 125.35.
