The first major heavy rotating equipment arrives on site.
The calciner cooler shell, supplied by Metso, was delivered to site this week in one piece. The
shell was fabricated locally at Steelstruct’s facility in Henderson over a six week period.
It was a major logistical exercise and successfully completed by the project’s logistics company,
NMT International (Australia) Pty Ltd with specialised heavy transport equipment supplied by
Doolan’s Heavy Haulage.

The overall length of the load was 62 metres, with a total weight of the shell in the order of
75 tonnes.
