    COURSE NAME: NCM 103 CARE OF CLIENTS ACROS THE LIFESPAN WITH PROBLEMS IN OXYGENATIONCOURSE DESCRIPTION: This course deals with the principles and techniques of nursing care management of sick clients across the lifespan in any setting with alterations/ problems in

    oxygenation.COURSE CREDIT: 5 units Lecture, 3 units RLECONTACT HRS/SEM: 24 hours lecture, 72 hours RLEPREREQUISITES: NCM102PLACEMENT: Third year, First SemesterTERMINAL COMPETENCY:

    Given an actual client, population group with problems in oxygenation, the student should be able to:

    1.

    Utilize the nursing process in the care of individuals, families in selected settings:

    a.

    Assess clients with recognition through interview, physical examination, interpretation of laboratory problems;

    b.

    Identify actual and potential nursing diagnoses;

    c.

    Plans appropriate nursing interventions with clients and clients families with problems in oxygenation;

    d.

    Implements plan of care with clients and fmily;e.

    Evaluates progress of his/her clients condition and outcomes of care

    2.

    Apply nursing theories in the management of care of the client with disturbances in oxygenation.

    3.

    Live the core values cherished by the profession such as love of God, caring as the core of nursing, love of people and love of country.

    Ensure a well-organized and accurate documentation system (oral and written).
