• What is an Attached File

• A separate document in Word, Excel, etc.

• Connected to an e-mail message

• Electronic sharing of documents

• How to Attach

• Create, Save and close your document

• Open E-mail, choose “attach” paper clip

• Browse to your document’s location

• Attach, address your e-mail and send

• Downloading (Saving) an Attachment

• Locate the file

• Can view only by double clicking

• Right click on icon, choose SAVE AS

• Choose where to Save it (can rename)

• Try “Drag & Drop”

• Problems

• Need software both ends

• Format, fonts, layout can be affected

• Can attach multiple files, careful of size

• Some attachment are blocked (Gwava)

• Save your work to the DESKTOP for now

• Move it later to your Home Folder

• Shut Down and Start up to reestablish connection

• No Internet

• Most likely wireless or network. Shut Down and Restart

• Internet does go down statewide

You can work on your computer without being connected to the network

•Choose Workstation Only

•Put in “teacher” and “iteach” in the window

•Work on documents, save to desktop

Remember, you have no network resources (e-mail, web, saving)

Eventually move documents from desktop in case they get erased by I.S.

Technicians use this and leave it on. Watch for the Checkbox
