Dear Parents/Carers,

Woohoo, the holidays are almost here.

This week our school is very excited to be heading into the holiday break, having had

such an amazing term. Our children have been exceptional in their work ethic during the

term and the amount of study and learning achieved across the school has been

significant.

What has really been enjoyable during the term, has been the manner in which the

children have worked together and the way our children respond to the school

expectations of always trying their best. I congratulate the entire student body for their

ongoing effort.

I would also like to highlight the staff of Orange Public School for their ongoing level of

professionalism and effort throughout the term. The teachers, support teachers,

administration staff and every staff member involved in the school, all work exceptionally

hard in providing exemplary educational service to the students and families of the

school.

Young Archies

Last week we concluded a wonderful activity at the

school, the Young Archies. This activity saw children

from across the school draw a portrait of their local

hero and what talent we have. Our budding artists

from across the grades put time and care into their

art pieces and we will be displaying the works across

the school next Term. Two students had their work

selected to represent the school in the Orange

competition, with Casey Perry in year 5 and Callan

Barrett in Kindergarten. They were very honoured to

present their work.

The school is delighted to announce the permanent appointment of Miss Ashleigh

Allwood and Ms Annabelle Hughes-Clapp. Both ladies gained their roles through a

rigorous recruitment process and I thank the huge number of applicants who applied for

the roles from the local area and further afield.

On Monday 12th October the school will be welcoming Term 4 with the usual change in uniform. The summer uniform

will be required and we remind parents to ensure each child has a school hat to enjoy wearing during play periods.

Girls will again have a shorts option to be worn with the peter pan collared white school shirt available from the

Orange Clothing Company.

Next term will also bring many wonderful opportunities to our children including the Athletics Carnival in week 2,

Cross Country in week 4 and Bike Day in week 5. These events are usually much earlier in the year and have been

moved to term 4 due to our earlier Covid restrictions. We are excited to still provide children with the opportunity to

participate and enjoy these events and we are looking forward to seeing some great running and riding.

Lastly I would like to wish every member of our school community a wonderful holiday break and we look forward to

seeing everyone in term 4.

Enjoy the holidays
