Jennifer has experience in acute care, management and has opened multiple outpatient pulmonary rehab programs. She will be presenting on Pulmonary Rehabilitation and her main objectives are to educate clinicians on pulmonary rehab; criteria, objectives and information on current governing bodies. Jeffrey Rubins, MD After practicing Pulmonary Medicine at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center for 18 years, he became the Director of Palliative Medicine there in 2008. He combined his Pulmonary and Palliative Care interests by working with veterans diagnosed with ALS at the VA Spinal Cord Injury and Disorders Unit, and continued this work at the HCMC ALS clinic in 2011. He will be present- ing on Inspiration and Expiration in ALS. He will focus on clinical manifestations of respiratory muscle weakness in AS and the merits of different approaches to evaluating it as well as causes for cough, and need for ventilator support. Judy Schloss, BS, RRT-NPS, AE-C Judy is a Cardiopulmonary Specialist, ECMO Technician, and Education Coordinator for the M Health System, which includes the University of MN Medical Center and the University of MN Masonic Children’s Hospital. Judy has been with the University of MN since 1996 as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and has primarily functioned in the role as Educator since 2006 serving two campuses and over 100 RT’s. She is active in the MN respiratory community working with hospitals, student development and public outreach organizations as well as serving on two different advisory boards for RT programs. She will be speaking about Asthma Medication, what is new, asthma management, and educating patients. Matt Stamm, RRT He has been a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) since 1997. In his 20 years of experience he has worked with patients, clinicians and physicians in the field of Respiratory Care, Patient Assessment, Education, and Treatment of Respiratory disease processes. His presentation titled “Is it really just COPD? Recognition and Treatment of Bronchiectasiswill allow you to understand the pathogenesis of Bronchi- ectasis, and will help differentiate between Bronchiectasis, Chronic Bronchitis and COPD. There will be recommended treatment options that decrease lung infections and improve quality of life. Robert McCoy, BS, RRT, FAARC Bob is a registered therapist that has spent most of his career researching respiratory equipment. He is the Managing Director of Valley Inspired Products and has published and lectured on the finding from both bench and field testing of home respiratory care products.
