HEADLINE SPEAKERS & STAGES

Keynote Speakers Included:In 2019, the 15th annual Washington, DC Travel &

Adventure Show provided new, updated content

and speakers to engage attendees.

The Travel Theater, where attendees go for

inspiration and advice from travel celebrities,

welcomed Samantha Brown, Peter Greenberg,

Patricia Schultz, and Andrew McCarthy.

The Destination Theater featured 13 sessions

spanning both show days provided educational

workshops based on specifi c destinations.

On the Savvy Traveler Theater, attendees enjoyed

10 sessions dedicated to providing actionable

advice on how to travel safer, better, and more

effi cient. From packing tips and solo travel advice,

to budget tips and travel photography, Travel &

Adventure Show consumers packed the theater

each day.

For those attendees searching for cultural

experiences, the Global Beats Stage provided just

that. With over 20 performances on the Global

Beats Stage, attendees got a taste of faraway

cultures from around the globe.

In addition to meeting with our vendors, attendees

Broadcast Television:

The 2019 DC show’s television mix included FOX, NBC and ABC. Between the three top stations in the market, almost 350 commercials ran, complimented with digital ads from each station, resulting in over23 million impressions served over a 10-day fl ight.

For the 2019 Travel Show Season, the Marketing Team was tasked with not only increasing attendance, but also increasing the quality of attendees who walked through the show doors.

Out of Home:

Between 16 two sheet posters, 100 car cards and over 20 :10s digital video spots strategically placed on the METRO routes targeting the area’s affl uent pockets,over 2.3 million impressions were served to commuters over a 4 week period.

Radio:

Between WASH-FM and the Traffi c and Weather sponsorships, over 450 radio spots ran over the spanof two and a half weeks. Almost 4 million radio impressions were served, targeting commutersduring peak rush hour day parts.

Digital Campaign:

In addition to digital campaigns with TV and radio partners, an outside digital marketing agency, AdTaxi, put together a campaign that spanned across social media, banner ads, and search marketing. The results? 683K digital impressions to qualifi ed prospects that met the Travel & Adventure Show’s target demographic.

Media Coverage:

In the weeks leading up to the event, various print and radio interviews were set up with exhibitors, speakers, and Travel Show Management. Week-long schedules of segments on FOX, multiple features on NBC and ABC, plus interviews on top radio stations, travel show speakers, exhibitors and sponsors were featured throughout the weeks leading up to, and during, the event. The result? Over 1.1 million impressions were served by DC PR efforts.

FACEBOOK:

Within 3 Weeks leading up to, and including, the Washington DC Event, Travel & Adventure Show Facebook advertising campaign targeted D.C. area travelers, promoting event speakers, sponsors and exhibitors. These ads reached 67,000 people while creating 230,000 impressions, drawing more attention to the event and driving ticket sales. Additionally, the Travel & Adventure Show Facebook Advertising campaign included a separate Event Response Campaign that reached 10,000 people while creating 18,000 impressions and 326 event responses.

TWITTER:

By engaging celebrity speakers, local and national bloggers and industry professionals, @TravAdventure created over 30,000 organic impressions and over 250 engagements. The D.C. hashtag, #DCTravelShow was used in over 100posts reaching over 350,000 people.

INSTAGRAM:

Within 3 Weeks leading up to, and including, the DC Event, Travel & Adventure Show Instagram advertising campaign targeted DC area travelers, promoting event awareness, event speakers, sponsors and exhibitors. These ads reached over 51,000 people while creating 120,000 impressions. #DCTravelShow was used in over 100 posts leading up to, and including the DC event, resulting in over 5000 likes.

The Travel & Adventure Show launched the FAM-TAS Travel Agent Program on Saturday, March 16th, 2019 at the Washington D.C. Travel & Adventure Show.
