Welcome to the fi rst ever live stream awards ceremony for the 2020 Marketer, Communications, and Sales Awards – bringing together these sectors for an evening of celebration in an industry that’s more important than ever.

The fi nals days for this year were a completely virtual aff air, with our fantastic fi nalists presenting their innovative ideas in response to the brief via video link. Our fi nalists welcomed this slight change in direction and made the 2020 competition a great success - we received extremely positive feedback about how the new fi nals days operated.

The Marketer of the Year competition once again saw a great spread of industry leading companies putting forward their brightest minds in a bid to claim a coveted pharma trophy - a testament to their hard work throughout this turbulent year. The teams also expressed excellent teamwork in the Commercial Cross Functional Team of the Year which was particularly hotly contested.

The Communications Awards continued its legacy of enticing agencies to work together to compete in an on-the-day challenge, with 2020 further expressing how teams can show their superb communication and leadership skills virtually. Each year the competition partners with a charity for the Charity Challenge, and this year the entrants responded to a brief created by The Children’s Hyperinsulinism Charity, to directly assist in their fantastic cause.

In a more refi ned Sales Awards this year which, saw our fi nalists compete in a rigorous evaluating process that earned them their hard-fought spot here tonight, we’ve seen once again a great spread of companies represented by candidates of the highest quality.

Despite no face-to-face interaction in the competitions, our fi nalists continue to surpass our expectations year after year and the 2020 competition is no exception! The Executive Steering Committee have innovated and adapted incredibly to create another hard-fought competition.
