Lundi Gras / February 2012 The arrival of Rex, the King of Mardi Gras, is an annual tradition dating back to the mid-1800’s. I co-managed the event’s timeline, including the coordination of the Rex Organization, the Port of New Orleans, the US Coast Guard, and the City of New Orleans. It was the most successful Lundi Gras post-Katrina and brought in over 300,000 visitors to the property and accumulated $23,000 in positive revenue for the Howard Hughes Corporation.Muscular Dystrophy Association “Muscle Walk” / March 2012 An annual children’s walk inside Riverwalk Marketplace that raised over $40,000 for the MDA. NCAA Men’s Final Four Coca-Cola Activation / March 2012 I managed advertising and element placement for Coca-Cola, a national sponsor of the NCAA, within Riverwalk Marketplace and its Spanish Plaza. The activation brought in $59,000 to Howard Hughes and set the property up for future activations, including Super Bowl XLVII.
