Technical Skills
Softwares: ANSYS, CATIA (GD &T), ABAQUS, AUTOCAD, LabVIEW.
Programming Language: MATLAB, C.
Achievements
Secured All India Rank 91 with 97.11 percentile in the GATE exam 2012 (Aerospace discipline).
Selected with Direct admission for M.Tech in IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur.
Stood first in High School Exams and received prize as a token of merit.
M.Tech Thesis
Effect of Resin/Hardener Ratio on the Dynamic Fracture of Epoxy System (Experimental)
Mentor: Dr.Rajesh Kitey, Assistant Professor, IITK (PhD in Auburn University, USA)
The Epoxy variants are prepared by mixing the constituent material in six different ratios by weight: 100:40,
100:60, 100:80, 100:100, 100:120 and 100:140 and modified them as per the ASTM Standards by creating notch
and natural crack in it.
Calculated the Experimental values of Elastic properties like Young’s modulus and Poisson’s Ratio for all the
compositions of neat epoxy using UTM, strain gauges and LabVIEW software.
Investigated the Fracture Toughness property by performing dynamic impact loading using SHPB (Split-
Hopkinson Pressure bar).
B.Tech Project
Design and Analysis of Surface to Surface missile (Computational)
Mentors: A.G.Sarwade (DRDO Scientist) and Ms. Sudha Deepthi (Asst. Prof.)
Softwares Used: CATIA V5R20, ANSYS CFX, MATLAB
Results: Designed a missile which can travel a range of 50 Km within 125 sec. A New idea was proposed that
one can use old existing surface to air missiles as surface to surface missiles. Outer Structure designed in CATIA
and a flow of Mach 4 was simulated over it in ANSYS CFX and obtained properties at supersonic speed.
Key Academic Projects
Analysis of Inverted 3 Dimensional L section beam using Shell / plate element and 3D beam element approaches
in ABAQUS.
Industry oriented Mini Project
Design of a Triple spool Turbine Jet engine:
Designed three compressor blades and corresponding three turbine blades to run these compressors.
This engine and blades were designed in CATIA.
Positions of Responsibility & Extra-Curricular
Teaching Assistant of Aero structural Lab Experimental Course AE 451A in IIT KANPUR and taught the
following experiments to the Employees of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (H.A.L).
Determining the Natural frequencies of two beams by performing FFT
Torsion Test
Principal axes of a given cross-section in a thin walled beam.
Took over charge as Volunteer in the Technical fest “AERODYNE 2K11” and Paper presentation
programme in MRCET college during my B.Tech (2010-12).
Training & Workshops
Underwent training in the “CATIA SOFTWARE” from “Engineering and Industrial Services (EIS) from June
06-30, 2011.
Participated in the Workshop on “HUMAN FACTORS AND SAFETY IN AVIATION” on Oct 12, 2010.
