Bridging ConstructA spatial construct spanning a 50 foot void uses masonry and wood framing to create an entry, path and congregation space. The project was a study of tectonics and the relationships between building materials.

Winter GardenA 20 by 60 foot area adjoining an eight story office building that employs passive energy. The winter garden becomes a building entrance that celebrates the natural and cultural aspects of the Pacific Northwest and its heritage. The project was a study in urban sustainability using native materials, fresh air ventialation, and shade louvres.

Christ Community Health ServicesA roughly 16,000 square foot health clinic. The facility is to include a medical area, a dental area, a pharmacy, doctors’ offices, some administration, and a class-room for public awareness and education seminars. I was involved in the early schematic design that was to fit a set floorplan. These are some early drawings andcomputer sketches.

Habitat for Humanity: Senior Project

The senior project for the class of 2006 was to build a four bedroom home for a family of five in Ruston, Louisiana. The first quarter of the academic year the class spent on schematic design and construction documents. The other two quarters of the year were spent building the house ourselves with the exception of professional installation for plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Our class of 29 students finished the house before graduation; the first senior class to do so.

A joint venture to renovate the existing customs house, court house and post office. The law school includes classrooms, library stacks, a moot court room, two roof top terraces, and a branch of Barnes & Noble. The firm I worked for was responsible for the construction documents and construction administration while the other firm managed schematic design and design development. An AIA Gulf States Award of Honor recipient.
