Researched other cities marathons for their promotions and social media strategy to improve the target market for the Kansas City Marathon. Brainstormed ways that we could reach out to more people and get more response from people. Implemented a marketing plan for the Kansas City Marathon, which involved connecting the Kansas City Community and the uniqueness of the marathon course. The goal was to get more people connected on social media with using #RunKCM and gain more followers on twitter and Instagram. Posted fun and unique photos on Instagram and Twitter and related to something that was going on in that area or during that time. Assisted with setting up and working during the BIG 12 VIP Tent and the Big 12 Campus ‘Cue Off that was hosted during hours of the BIG 12 Tournament. University of Louisiana at Monroe June 2014-August 2014 Marketing Intern Monroe, Louisiana Created a marketing plan for first home football game against Wake Forest University that was aired as one of the first college football games of the year on ESPN U. Scheduled and attended meetings with 7 Chamber of Commerce in different parishes of Northeast Louisiana to help market outside the city of Monroe. Compiled a list of Alumni, season ticket holders, donors, and others emails for a database to send out mass newsletters to about 30,000 people. Assisted in ideas to attract more members for the “Ace’s Kids Club.” Goal was 200 kids, which was almost 100 more than they had the previous year. BOK Center/SMG June 2013 – August 2013 Business Development Intern Tulsa, Oklahoma Contributed to updating sponsorship recaps Shadowed in meetings with potential event sponsors and brainstormed potential sponsors for a high school basketball tournament Collaborated with the marketing department to develop a program for the basketball tournament. Assisted with reaching out to local companies and organizations for group ticket sales. Reviewed ticket holder contracts and compiled a list of expired or renewed. ACTIVITIES & Kappa Delta Sorority 2011 – 2015 SERVICE Active Member Attended monthly meetings Completed 10 hours of community service each semester. Served with philanthropic events for Prevent Child Abuse America and the Confidence Coalition. Dads Day Chair Planned and organized an auction and dinner with a budget of $2,000 for over 200 people. SET Leader Educated new members about the history, ritual, and values of our chapter. Motivated new members to get involved on campus and made them feel welcome. Sports Management Club 2014 – 2015 Volunteered at Dr. Bob run that was put on by the Sports Management Club in honor of Dr. Bob Frederick to raise money for Sports Management Scholarship Fund. The Big Event 2014-2015 Volunteered around the city of Lawrence to do community service for those people who were not able to do it themselves.
