RESEARCH Impala Associate with Olive Baboons for Feeding and Security Fall 2014 Independently designed and conducted research showing a significant association between baboons and impala with the guidance of Dr. Jim Ebersole (ACM Tanzania Program). Published as note in African Journal of Ecology (DOI: 10.1111/aje.12263). Article about researched published on Smithsonaian.com. Diver Impacts on Bonaire, Dutch Caribbean Spring 2014 Assisted Dr. Patrick Lyons in conducting and publishing research showing significant negative impacts of scuba divers on coral reefs. Published in Biodiversity and Conservation (DOI: 10.1007/s10531-015- 1009-2). *Made a follow-up documentary based on research, see “Film Experience” Anti-predator Responses of Ocean Surgeonfish to Invasive Lionfish Spring 2014 Developed and conducted an independent experiment showing a mild behavioral change of juvenile fish in response to lionfish (CIEE Bonaire Research Station). Beluga Whale Vocalization Study 2011-2012 Worked w/ Prof. Peter Scheifele of the University of Cincinnati analyzing vocalizations of wild beluga whales. Found a significant correlation of formant values with gender.
