RTP TABLE OF CONTENTS

Thank you for being patient and understanding as we work on providing a safe environment for the players and coaches as we return to play. The following written procedures comply with the safety and health requirements put forward by the State of Washington and include our Club protocols for return-to-training in Phase 2, which also incorporate sport-specific guidance collated from national sources. The information here is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice and does not supersede any future directives or restrictions issued from local, state or federal authorities. As always, our priority at Blackhills FC remains the health and safety of all our players, coaches and their families. LETTER TO FAMILIES AND LEGAL GUARDIANS

Families,We hope this communication finds you and your family safe and healthy. We are elated to announce that Blackhills FC is ready to announce details around Return to Play Protocols, hereafter referred to as RTP’s.

We are entering into what is referenced by Washington State Department of Health as Phase 2. This means we are not playing games yet and there are significant restrictions to the format and conditions that govern a Club’s ability to host training sessions. This document will provide you with important details, including mandated protocols to ensure player, coach and volunteer safety, as it relates to training.BFC RTP’s are based on guidelines provided by the Washington State Department of Health, Washington Youth Soccer and the United States Soccer Federation. In some RTP guidelines we exceed the minimum requirements: space between individual grids, number of players attending small group-individual training and distance between players and coaching staff.Small Group Individual Training is not mandated. BFC recognizes our members will have differing views and comfort levels in sending their children back into a training environment. We respect and support your views on this matter. Inability to commit to training will not reflect on the level of commitment of the player / family to the team. The small group-individual training is intended for players to start re-orientating to soccer movements, structure, seeing friends, being active, learning how to train under new social distancing guidelines and picking up ideas to train at home.

There is no cost to attend these training sessions through June. Players must have accepted a spot in an age group training pool to be eligible. There are strict protocols for players, parents and guardians that must be adhered to, if a player is to participate in training. Failure at any time to observe protocols will negate the ability of the player to participate and continue in training. All protocols are intended to ensure the safety and security of participants. The inability or unwillingness to meet any protocols outlined will disqualify a player from participating in training.

We are close to reaching Phase 3. Phase 3 will allow contact and an increase the number of players that can participate in practice (very close to a team practice as in the past). We anticipate Phase 3 can happen around June 22nd. Once we enter Phase 3 we will hold tryouts and place players on teams.

We are indebted to all of you for your support of the Club during this difficult time. Along the way your critical feedback, guidance, advice, thoughtfulness, resourcefulness and creativity was instrumental in helping us adjust programming to meet the needs of our membership. It was and will continue to be the collective input and support of our membership that will help us transition into this important phase. Your input is encouraged and welcome.Sincerely,Blackhills FC Executive Board and Coaching Staff
