A note from Fr. Jim: Stewardship Renewal Begins Today -
This week we kick off our parish Stewardship Renewal. Check
your mailbox for a package of beautiful materials that explain
what stewardship means at St. Patrick. Over the next few
weeks, please pray about your role in our parish. Two Sundays
from now, each parish family is asked to make commitments of
time, talent and treasure. As harvest season is underway we
pray that we will be willing to let God harvest back some of
the gifts that have been given to us. Let’s pray for a great
harvest – all for the greater glory of God!
This weekend we welcome Bishop Dendinger who will preside
at the 11:00 am Sunday Confirmation liturgy. Please pray for
our 27 high school juniors who are candidates to receive this
fullness of the Holy Spirit and to complete their initiation into
the Catholic community.
Prayer for a New Bishop: God, You are our eternal shepherd and guide. In your mercy grant your Church in the Diocese of Grand Island a shepherd after your own heart who will walk in our ways and with loving care watch over your people, that your name be glorified; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Diocesan Stewardship Appeal: This Bishop’s appeal helps to
support the various ministries of the Diocese of Grand Island.
The appeal officially ends at the end of October. We will con-
tinue to collect money after that date if you would like to con-
tribute. Please support the many good works that take place
through our Diocesan ministries.
Thank you for your generous donation of $2,334 towards Fr.
Jude Ssenngendo and his ministry in Uganda. This was from
last week’s second collection. We appreciate your continued
generosity.
Each Thursday at 7:00 p.m. a small group meets in the
gathering area near the Baptismal font to reflect on the read-
ings for the coming Sunday. Please join us when you can. All
are welcome. Contact Mary Wyatt for further information.

STEWARDSHIP RENEWAL PRAYER
Gracious God, I come to you in thanksgiving, knowing that all I am and all that I have is a gift from you.
In faith and love, help me to do your will. I am listening, dear Lord.
Speak your words into the depth of my soul, that I may hear you clearly.
I offer to you all the areas of my life, whether it be at home, at work,
or at school - to be patient, to be merciful, to be generous, to be holy.
Give me the wisdom and insight to understand your will for me and the fervor to fulfill my good intentions.
I offer my gifts of time, talent and possessions to you as a true act of faith, to reflect my love for you and my neighbor.
Help me to reach out to others as you my God have reached out to me.
In your holy name we pray. Amen

If a funeral occurs, the “Intention”
that day will be rescheduled at a later date
The phrase in today’s psalm, “May you see your chil-dren’s children,” is really a prayer for a long life. The good steward knows that every day is a gift from God, to be lived with joy and thanksgiving. “May the Lord bless us all the days of our lives!”
