“Timothy has been able to see deeper in Paul’s core values lived in his manner of life, expressed in his purpose and fed from and feeding his faith.”

“Core values are the attitudes, character and expectations that shape an individual or the culture of an organization. These are what we really believe are important. They come up again and again because they are foundational. They call us, control us and confirm us. They define who we really are and how we will really live.”

Some are constants of an organization.

Some are constants of a leader.

Strategies change but…Core values are constant

Disney- to make people happy

Creativity, Dream, Imagination

Preservation and control of the Disney magic

Absolute, meticulous attention to detail.

Consider how some core values of people or organizations affect their lifestyle or culture.

Peace at any cost~ a core value that can be both positive & negative

To always come out on top (not necessarily ethically)

ProfitTime is money

Part Two: The Core

Values of FWC

A personal relationship with God (John 3:3).

Biblical authority accurately interpreted and lovingly applied (II Timothy 3:16, II Tim. 2:15).

Global evangelism (Matthew 28:19-20). Relevant worship experience that allows people to connect with God (John 4:23-24).

The person and the work of the Holy Spirit with His Baptism. (Acts 1:5-8).

The Core Values at FWC

Faith is always positive (being positive instead of negative) (Hebrews 11:1).

Building up people, never putting them down (Ephesians 4:29).

Fostering healthy relationships and people skills (Ephesians 4 et al).

The greatest is love and everything must be done with love (I Corinthians 13:13).

Unity is a gift from God that we are to preserve since the number one thing God hates is discord. (Prov. 6:16-19).
