About SAE
Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) is an International global association of more than 128,000 engineers and related technical experts worldwide. As an organization, SAE provides a standard in the aerospace, automotive and commercial-vehicle industries for the benefit of society and its safety. The SAE Foundation, the SAE International’s charitable arm, channels support to The Collegiate Design Series, which includes a variety of competitions, such as: Baja, Formula, and SuperMileage. With a chapter in India, SAEINDIA is the country’s leading resource for mobility technology. As an individual member-driven society of mobility practitioners the ownership of SAEINDIA wrests with its members who are Individuals from the mobility community, which includes Engineers Executives from Industry, Government Officials, Academics and Students.
“We are moving towards accelerated growth path in our 22nd year of mobility journey. It was a long and fruitful journey that involved mobility professionals at all levels across our nation from Automobile, Aerospace and Off Highway sectors..”

About us
THE TEAM Team Revamp-i-ours is a collegiate team of 25 passionate and determined undergraduate
Engineering students led by Mr. Parthasarathy, our faculty advisor from the Department of
Mechanical Engineering. We seek to extend the knowledge that we gain from our in-class courses
onto real world applicability. At the moment, we are tasked with the objective of designing and
fabricating a Baja buggy with optimized performance characteristics. Although this maybe our first
time competing in this competition, we have experiences and successes that arise from others.
Through every challenge and failure, we’ve emerged evolved and adapted, ready for any challenge
that is yet to come. At the moment, we have secured a rank of 67 out of 387 teams in the
first round of the competition.
MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of Team Revamp-i-ours is to expand upon and apply theory
learned in the classroom through participation, leadership, outreach, design,
and fabrication of an off-road buggy, an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV), for the SAE
Collegiate Design Series competitions for the betterment of our abilities, in
forging our career paths.
Baja India is an intercollegiate design, fabrication and racing competition organized by SAE India with
students from Universities all over India competing to build an Off-road vehicle or an ATV (All-Terrain
Vehicle) with capabilities of sustaining in the harshest of environments with optimum performance
parameters including manoeuvrability, rigidity, power, etc.
All competitions include static and dynamic events. Static events consist of design and sales presentations
in addition to design and cost reports submitted prior to the competition. Dynamic events include
acceleration, traction, manoeuvrability, a specialty event, and endurance. Each competition is based on a
total of 1000 points

The concept of success in a competition of
such scale will depend on countless
factors. However, the most important
among these factors, is support. Each
student within our chapter brings a
defined sense of innovation to our design
tables. Therefore, we need sponsors such
as yourself to help turn our research and
ideas into something more concrete. Not
only will your contribution allow our team
to meet and exceed our goals for the
2017-2018 Competition Season, but it will
also enable our members to encounter
and tackle real world engineering
challenges, both technical and financial,
that is sure to shape our career paths. Our
team, being student-run, is only minimally
funded by the College. Therefore, we seek
sponsor support in any form (Monetary,
raw materials, supplies, services, etc.).
Your support is absolutely vital to the
foundation of our team. Most
importantly, our sponsors will receive
considerable exposure during the main
event, which have monumental audiences
including:
Students and faculty from
universities all over India.
Professionals in the mobility
industry
Social media
Representatives from important
automobile companies
Off-road racing enthusiasts.
Besides plenty of exposure, our sponsors
will also have the opportunity to mentor
and support engineering students of the
future, providing hands-on experience in
vehicle design and construction, as well as
team management and marketing, which
could benefit your company in the near
future.
Sponsorship of the PIT Baja Project
supports the career development of all
students involved whilst aiding in the
promotion of engineering and higher
education to the youth of this country,
thus positively influencing your company
brand by highlighting its commitment to
the community and also its interests.
