Revelation 12The Woman and the Dragon

v.1-2 A sign appeared in heaven – a woman wearing the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was about to have a baby. (open)

v.3-4 Then a huge red dragon with 7 heads, 7 crowns, and 10 horns appeared in heaven.His tail swept many stars out of the sky.He was waiting to eat the woman’s baby once it was born. (open)

v.5-6 She had a son, who will rule as a king. The baby was taken safely to heaven and the woman ran to a safe place God had made for her in the desert. (open top)

v.9 Then the dragon was thrown down to to the earth, along with his angels. This dragon is Satan.

v.10-12 A voice in heaven praised God and said that

the heavens are happy, because the dragon is gone, but the earth should be sad, because the dragon is angry.(open bottom)

v.13-14 The dragon chased the woman, but she was given eagle wings so that she could fly to safety. (open top)

v.15 The dragon spit out a river from his mouth to drown the woman. (open bottom)

v.16 But the earth opened up and swallowed the river.

v.17 Then the dragon was even angrier and went to fight against all the people who follow God’s laws and believe in Jesus.
