By reducing the area of each cell and connecting them in a parallel formation, the amount of electrical current carried by each busbar is reduced by half.

By using half-cut cells, the electrical current ( i ) �owing in each busbar is halved. Therefore, the amount of internal loss in a half-cut module is 1/4 of a full sized cell module.

Ever y cell we produce is measured for electrical characteristics and undergoes a ver y strict selection process before being assembled into a module. �is is to minimize performance degradation due to cell variation.

Advanced Production Techniques

Mitsubishi Electric has developed numerous advanced techniques in production.For example, we have developed a method during the p/n junction forming process to move impurities in the sil icon wafer into deeper areas. By leading the impurities away from the surface, generated electricity is less l ikely to recombine w ith them (recombination loss) and overall output is improved.

Tested in Extreme Conditions

Our modules have been designed to w ithstand harsh environmental conditions, such as in areas w ith high snow fall . �e high structural strength of the modules has passed the IEC 61215 static loading test at 5400Pa and the thermal cycling test of -40˚C to 85˚C.
