IT identifies the Central Server to which the Local (office) Serverwill connect. (A Local Server connects to ONLY one Central

Server.)

IT connects users via an OS System Variable, or

User connects to Local Revit Server via Connect to RevitServer dropdown on Collaborate tab.

User must enter server name or IP address.

The user identifies files to open from the Central Server list The Local Server maintains a cached copy for Reload Latest

Users can not create projects or directories via this dialogue.

Any number of folders and sub-folders can be created via the

Revit Server Administrator.

No other UI changes except Manage Links. There is a new Path Type called Revit Server.

Only Revit workshared files can be managed on the server.

Non-workshared RVT files, DWGs, Images, etc. can live

on the server machine, but Revit Server doesnt managethem.

Any user can type the server name in browser window.(Access would be controlled by firm IT dept.)

Based on Microsoft Silverlight technology. It will ask you to

download Silverlight plug-in if you dont have it installed.

Users cannot create, delete, rename or move central modelsand folders on Revit central servers using Revit client, but

they can do that using Revit Server Administrator.

Rollback feature has been disabled.

No longer possible to work at risk.

"Worksharing Monitor" has been replaced by a Bluestreak

add-in monitoring worksharing activity.
