RFID:- RFID is an acronym for Radio Frequency Identification. It is the technology where transfer of some useful information is done by radio waves. This way of transferring requires a sender (RFID tag) (transponder) and a receiver (reader) (transceiver). Sender has a microchip which stores data. Readers are the sources of EM waves. Sender may use these EM waves or external sources of energy. Sender modulates (manipulates) the EM waves transferring the data. The microcomputer present in reader records resultant signal. Data encoding in a particular method is done to get the final data which is in sender. This technology is being used to store ID’s in tags replacing barcodes, License plates, etc.
