PO Close – Business Problem

• Client typically never receives the exact amount on a PO: they either get more or less.

• More than ordered? No problem! • Less than ordered? The PO will remain open until they

either receive the rest or manually close the PO.• If they did not get it this time around – they will not ever get

it• Client is high volume distributor. Manually closing PO’s would

be a time consuming task. Daily. • Very Painful!


PO Close - Solution• Provided a new PO Mass Close window!

• PO lines marked “Cancel” will have the QTY Cancelled set to the difference between QTY ordered and QTY received.

• If all lines on the PO are fully received or cancelled, entire PO is marked as Received (or cancelled if all lines cancelled).

Stock Count Entry

• Business Problem:• Dynamics GP expects user to enter Counted QTY for all

items included in Stock Count.• User only wants to enter Counted QTY if it does not

agree with Captured QTY.• On Hand Quantity can be included on the Stock Count

Form.• Out of the box solution resulted in a lot of manual data

entry.


Stock Count Entry• Solution:

• Add push button that automatically sets the Counted QTY to the Captured QTY. User then changes only those items that do not agree, based on the Stock Count form.

• Automatically changes Status to Entered.• Handles Lot tracked items as well.

• Distribute rebate payments to builders once a payment is received from a customer.

• Enhance the Cash Receipt Apply and Posting process• Each line on a sales invoice represents an builder’s rebate

amount.• Extend the apply process to each line on a sales invoice• Automatically create credit memos for the amount applied

to each invoice line.• Process rebate payments using refund checks.


The Enhanced Cash Receipt Apply windowThe apply process is enhanced by applying the payment to each line on the invoice.


The Rebate Apply windowThis window is used to apply to invoice lines that

reflect the rebate amounts.


Rebate Distribution

• When the cash receipt is applied and posted, credit memos are created for the amount applied to each invoice line. Each line represents an individual’s rebate amount.

• The customer receives payment for the credit memos through the refund checks process.
