Mark is the director of the comprehensive risk management education program and Master Marketer. His research interests encompass all stakeholders in the grain industry, particularly in the areas of risk management and market analysis. Dr. John Robinson is a Professor and Extension Economist-Cotton Marketing in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Texas A&M University. His current position continues his professional emphasis in cotton economics, risk management, and policy issues. Dr. Samuel Zapata is an Extension Economist and Assistant Professor located at the A&M Research & Extension Center in Weslaco. It will be critical for producers to manage costs and take advantage of marketing opportunities as they occur in order to have a successful year. Although not as intense as the famous Master Marketer Program that has educated Texas producers since 1996, this two day workshop will introduce many of the concepts and tools available to producers that will enable them to minimize risk and sharpen their marketing skills.
