The southern white rhinoceros is the largest of therhino species and the third largest land mammalspecies in the world after African and Asianelephants. Southern white rhinos can weigh up to2.3 tonnes and have a wide flat mouth, thick greyskin and two horns - one large horn to the frontand a smaller horn further up their head. Theirhorns are made of keratin, the same material asskin, nails and hair.
