Hi Everyone,

My name is Ivy Racker and I am wanting to donate to the homeless people because its

nice for them so they can keep warm this winter. I would appreciate if anyone could

help me by donating new scarves, new gloves, new socks, new beanies or small torches

with batteries. I will be giving these to Hawkesbury Helping Hands to give to the

homeless people. Any donation no matter how small can be left at the school office

for me to pick up.

If you could help that would be so great,

Thank you,

Ivy Racker 1/2M

A FEW NOTES FROM THE LOLLIPOP MAN

Firstly, I am here to ensure the safety of everyone - children, parents, grand-parents, guardians, teachers.

Now, for a few simple rules. If these are followed, all of us will go home to our love ones everyday.

1. If I ask you to wait on the far side of the road, please be patient as there may be more pupils/

parents about to arrive or there is heavy traffic.

2. Please wait until I place the Stop Bat on the ground and I motion for you to cross the road.

3. During inclement weather, I will endeavour to get you across as soon as possible keeping in mind

the traffic.

4. Please refrain from using your mobile/head phones whilst crossing. For 10 seconds of your atten-

tion, this would erase the possibility of a person being injured, I have lost too many good people on

my watch during 35 years in the military, Could not bear that again.

As I do not bite and I don’t think I’m an ogre you may introduce yourself and your child/children.

Thankyou for your time and respect.

Your friendly lollipop man.

Dave
