Register of RICS Accredited Expert Witnesses
RICS EWAS - UK is a voluntary scheme that sets the standards for chartered surveyors who act as expert witnesses.
EWAS is designed to raise standards in a sector that has not previously been subject to professional regulation. It will set universal standards for expert witnesses across the property and built environment sector.
The service is open to all property professionals and underpinned by a dedicated training course, assessment and the RICS regulatory regime.
The service includes members with the specialist knowledge and practical experience to provide impartial, independent evidence for a wide range of fields
RICS Dispute Resolution Services maintain a list of RICS Accredited Expert Witness’s. The names appearing on this register are Expert Witnesses who have either successfully completed:
▪ RICS training & assessments (four modules), ethics test & interview ▪ An application onto the previous RICS Expert Register and undertaken (or waiting to undertake) a reassessment interview.
Disclaimer: RICS makes no representation or warranty as to the suitability or professional competence of expert witnesses on this list beyond the fact that these individuals have duly obtained accredited status. Where parties wish to use this list to source an expert witness they are advised to make further enquiries with the expert witness to ensure he/she the necessary experience and skills required. Parties should obtain current CV’s, references and availability from the expert witness directly. RICS Dispute Resolution Service can appoint an independent expert witness in the specialist area required ensuring the expert witness is suitably experienced, impartial, free from conflict of interest and available.
