Director’s Note Greetings!

Welcome to Ridge Community High School and our presentation of

the classic Cole Porter musical, Anything Goes! This is the fifth pro-duction I have had the honor of directing at RCHS and the third musical. It was a tough task choosing a musical this year after last year’s success of Hairspray, but I knew it could be done. Anything Goes is one of my favorite musicals. I played Billy Crocker my junior year of high school exactly ten years ago this month, and our tech-nical director, Mr. Frost, and our music director, Mr. Balach also worked on this show when they were in high school, which makes it memorable for all of us! I can’t describe how proud I am of these students and their commitment to bringing you an outstanding evening of live entertainment.

Anything Goes opened on Broadway November 21, 1934 amidst the backdrop of the Great Depression. America needed a musical that was light-hearted, funny and provided an escape from pain that the early 1930’s brought. With its high energy tap numbers, budding romance, mistaken identities, beautiful setting (the entire show takes place on an ocean liner), Anything Goes has proven itself a musical masterpiece after over eighty years of performances across the globe. Tonight it comes to our school. Welcome aboard the S.S. American, where anything goes!

Arrive and be seated before curtain.

If late, do not argue with the House Manager if not seated imme-diately.

No food or drink! If necessary, unwrap throat lozenges, mints or gum before the performance begins.

Meet the Production Staff Marcia Gardner-Legg (Choreographer): Besides starting the Studio C School of Dance and Production in Haines City, Marcia has danced in the around-the-world, televised statue of Liberty Celebration with Liza Minneli at Giants Sta-dium. She has also had six month dance contracts and several cruise ships around the world. She has performed in the Tony Grant Show in Atlantic City, New Jersey and the Broadway Showcase, New York City, and has worked for the Walt Disney Entertainment Company. Marcia has studied dance, acting and voice from some of the finest teachers in NYC and Pennsylvania, including Skip Siegal, Maurice Hines, Frank Hatchet, Salvador Juarez, Henry LeTang and others. To this day Marcia is always studying different styles of dance to bring to her stu-dents fresh ideas. She attended the Cecchetti Council of America International Teacher Seminar and the Dance Masters in New York City. Since opening her studio in Haines City, Marcia’s students have performed in the Nutcracker on Broadway, numerous cruise ships, fairs, festivals, parades and pageants. In the last five years her students have performed three times in the New York City’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Carnegie Hall, A Broadway performance and were chosen to study with the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in London, England. Marcia is thankful for the opportunity to work with Mr. Wilson and Mr. Frost on this production, and has loved getting to know all of the wonderful students of Ridge Community High School.

Mrs. Melissa James (Creative Design Director) Originally from Fort Lauder-dale, Florida, Mrs. James participated in multiple musicals in high school at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale, including Grease, Hello Dolly, and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Mrs. James moved to Central Flor-ida to attend the University of Central Florida, where she graduated with a degree in English Language Arts Education, and a minor in Creative Writing. She cur-rently teaches Advanced Placement English Literature and English IV at Ridge Community High School. Mrs. James is also the Sponsor for Student Govern-ment, as well as the Senior Class Sponsor. Mrs. James is appreciative for the opportunity to work with Mr. Wilson, Mr. Frost, and the entire ensemble on this wonderful show. Outside of teaching and theatre, Mrs. James enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, and her pugs, and vacationing at Walt Disney World.

Meet the Production Staff Mr. Cory Wilson (Director) Originally from Wadsworth, Ohio, Mr. Wilson was "raised in the theatre" participating in numerous community and regional theatre productions including shows at the Cleveland Playhouse, The Galaxy Dinner Theatre and Akron's Weathervane Community Playhouse throughout his youth. Mr. Wilson is a 2011 Theatre and Communications graduate from Southeastern University in Lakeland where he was named “Best Actor” in the prestigious Em-ber Awards. Mr. Wilson currently serves as Theatre Arts teacher at Ridge Com-munity High School in Davenport, FL where he teaches both Introduction to Dra-ma and Advanced Acting. Aside from directing the main stage shows at RCHS, Mr. Wilson can also be seen on stage at Theatre Winter Haven, recently named most recently as Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun. Mr. Wilson believes that every person can bring something of value to the study of theatre, and that through exploring the human condition, students develop not only academically, but also as grounded, well-rounded individuals able to participate in a variety of career paths and professions. In his free time, Mr. Wilson enjoys exploring Walt Disney World, and spending time with his wife, who is the RCHS dance instruc-tor, and two children, Macy and Aaron.

Mr. Timothy Frost (Technical Director) A native of Nashua, NH, Mr. Frost relocated from the cold winters of New England to the warmth of Orlando. Over the years, Mr. Frost has had the fortunate opportunity to work on many different shows in many different backstage roles. Mr. Frost has experience in production ranging from community theater shows to professional TV productions and every-thing else in between. With technical expertise in lighting, sound and video pro-duction, Mr. Frost is excited to be involved with RCHS Theatre. Some past thea-tre credits include: Fiddler on the Roof, Footloose, South Pacific, Pippi Longstocking, Boomers: A New Musical and Anything Goes. TV credits include technical contracting with: CNN, Fox News, NBC News, NBC Universal, and TNT Sports. Locally, Mr. Frost hopes to get involved with Theatre Winter Haven and The Garden Theatre in Winter Garden to work in other technical roles. Mr. Frost is excited to lead our technical crew here at Ridge and share his passion for the theatre with our students. Mr. Frost resides in Orlando and enjoys spending time at the local attractions and traveling whenever possible.

Mr. Rich Balach (Music Director) Mr. Balach graduated from Southeastern Uni-versity in Lakeland, FL with a Bachelor's of Science in Music Education in 2011. During his time at Southeastern, Mr. Balach was a member of the Chamber Sing-ers, as well as partaking in other musical productions. He has served as the Pres-ident of the Florida Collegiate NAfME, as well as Southeastern University's chap-ter of NAfME. Mr. Balach is an avid fan of sports, and enjoys making music in a variety of venues. He is proficient on the piano, guitar, and voice. He also enjoys the technical side of music, and runs his own private recording business. He cur-rently records all of the major concerts offered by Southeastern University. Mr. Balach is also the Children's Music Coordinator at First Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, FL. He is in charge of the children's choir, Pre-K choir, helps out with the teenager's musical groups, and sings regularly in the adult choirs.

Meet the Cast and Crew

Rebekah Swincicki (Reno’s Angel) is a junior. Her previous experience includes the role of Flower Child in GROOVY at Shepherd Middle School. She is also active with tennis, aerial silks, and dance. Rebekah would like to give a special thanks to Mrs. Marcia for coming out to help with the tap dancing for the play, and Mr. Wilson for helping and working with all the cast.

Jorge Texidor (Moonface Martin) is a freshman. Has past experience includes multiple pro-ductions at DSA, including ANNIE, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, CHARLOTTE’S WEB, CINDER-ELLA, SNOW WHITE, and THE LITTLE MERMAID. He loves acting and drawing, and is a mem-ber of Sigma. Jorge would like to thank Mr. Wilson, Mr. Balach, and Mr. Frost for allowing him the opportunity, his family for supporting him, and God for providing his talents.

Leisha Torres (Set and Stage Crew) is a senior. Her previous experience includes working as a crew member in HAIRSPRAY. She is a concert master for RCHS Orchestra, plays keyboard at her church, likes to draw, and always enjoys learning different instruments and music styles. Leisha would like to thank her parents for supporting her interest in the arts and loving her unconditionally. Next year she plans on attending Southeastern University to study English and International Studies and minor in Business.

Bayley True (Reno Sweeney) is a senior. She has graced the stage at RCHS for the past few years AS Dorothy in WIZARD OF OZ, Amber Von Tussle in HAIRSPRAY, Hilda in SLEEPY HOLLOW, and Mrs. Cratchit in A CHRISTMAS CAROL. She also just made her debut in community theatre as a Showgirl in Theatre Winter Haven’s production of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN. Bayley enjoys band and choir in addition to theatre. She is planning on attending Polk State to study theatre and then transfer to a university to get a BFA in Musical Theatre.

Maria Vargas (Reno’s Angel) is a freshman. This is her first production. Outside of the theatre arts, she plays tuba in the band and dances. She would like to thank her awesome mother and family for always supporting her and picking her up from rehearsals.

Joyce Wallace (Ensemble) is a senior. Her previous experience includes THE MUSIC MAN at Four Corners Charter School. She enjoys reading and acting, and would like to give a special thank you to Mr. Wilson for allowing her the opportunity to be in this year’s production. After high school, Joyce plans on becoming a nurse.

Mackenzie Watson (Ensemble) is a freshman. She has been in multiple productions at Four

Corners Charter School, including Molly in ANNIE, Mr. Glu in THE BIZ, and GET TOGETHER.

She also was Harriett is our fall production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Mackenzie enjoys acting,

and was President of the Drama Club at Four Corners Charter School. She would like to thank her

mom for always supporting her.

Meet the Cast and Crew Adriana Ponce de Leon (Reno’s Angel/Sailor/Passenger) is a freshman. This is her first musical, but she has participated on stage through many dance recitals and performances. Adriana enjoys dancing, painting, listening to music, and outdoor activities like hiking, walking, and en-joying the beauty of nature.

Heather Pragano (Ensemble) is a senior. She began dancing at the age of four at Studio C School of Dance, and has participated in multiple events, including parades, fairs, and has taken a class with the Rockettes. She has a background in ballet, pointe, jazz, and tap. Heather also has a strong interest in the medical field. She would like to thank her parents for always being support-ive, and her brother for being her best friend and dance partner.

Kylee Rancier (Tech, make-up) is a senior. Her previous experience includes appearances in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (Ensemble), and here on the RCHS stage she has appeared as Pen-ny Pingleton in HAIRSPRAY and WIZARD OF OZ (Ensemble). Outside of theatre, Kylee en-joys German, video games, and yoga. She would like to thank Mr. Frost, Mr. Furno, and Mr. Powell for helping her discover her love of German. Kylee is attending Stetson University next year, with plans to major in German and double minor in Russian and Communications.

Adriana Rivera (Ensemble) is a freshman. This is her first major production. She enjoys drawing, painting, and sports, such as tennis, cycling, karate, and volleyball. She would like to attend college to become a veterinarian or a pediatrician.

Alexandra Salazar (Ensemble) is a senior. She previously was an ensemble member in HAIRSPRAY and played Martha Cratchit in A CHRISTMAS CAROL. She enjoys choir, tennis, and theatre. She would like to thank her parents for always supporting her and her God parents for introducing her to the world of theatre.

Luke Salerno (Sailor) is a senior. His previous experience includes DEAD SCREWDY and crew member in A CHRISTMAS CAROL. He is also involved with JROTC Drill Team, National Honor Society, and Sigma. Luke would thank to thank his friends, like Brendon Shea, for intro-ducing him to theatre, Mr. Frost for his support, and his mom and dad for always supporting him with every crazy decision he’s made.

Brendon Shea (Technical Director/Sailor) is a senior. He has been on stage previously in OLIVER, SCHOOL HOUSE ROCK/SCHOOL OF ROCK, PINOCCHIO, ANNIE, and GUYS AND DOLLS. He was also Technical Director for A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Brendon is involved with Sigma Alpha Sigma, and is on the JROTC Rifle team. He enjoys shooting, tech theatre, and sports. He would like to thank his parents and siblings for their support, and Mr. Frost for rein-troducing him to theatre, especially the technical aspect. Brendon plans to attend Valencia, then transfer to UCF to major in Technical Theatre with a minor in Engineering.

Danielle Sheibley (Reno’s Angel) is a junior. She made her RCHS Theatre debut last year as Velma Von Tussle in HAIRSPRAY. Other than theatre, Danielle loves to dance. She would like to thank her parents for always supporting her decisions.

Sierra Sutkus (Reporter/Ensemble) is a junior. ANYTHING GOES will be her ninth theat-

rical production, having previously performed at DSA and RCHS. She is currently in Sigma, and

the RCHS a Capella group. Sierra loves anything related to music and theatre. She would like to

thank her parents for their support, her brother and sister for always supporting her and coming

to her shows, and Mr. Wilson, Mr. Frost, Mr. Balach, and Mrs. Marcia for everything they do!

Meet the Cast and Crew Sarah Marfo (Crew) is a sophomore. Sarah has worked both on stage and with tech previously for RCHS Theatre, having been involved in HAIRSPRAY and A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Sarah is also involved with Sigma, R.I.S.K. Club, Student Government, Key Club, HOSA, and softball. She’d like to thank Mr. Frost for having her back and helping her on her down fall. Sarah plans to attend either UF, FSU, or UCF for pharmacy and minor in theatre tech.

Emiliano Morales Flores (Captain) is a senior. His previous experiences on the RCHS stage include the Mayor of Munchkin City in THE WIZARD OF OZ and Bob Cratchit in A CHRIST-MAS CAROL. Emiliano is also involved with Cross Country, Soccer, and Track and Field. He would like to give special thanks to his family for supporting him and to everyone in his graduat-ing class of 2015!

Daved Olivencia (Billy) is a senior. His previous theatre experience includes roles in WIZ-ARD OF OZ, SLEEPY HOLLOW, HAIRSPRAY, and A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Daved is also involved with competitive swimming, Studio Art, and production crew. He would like to thank Mr. Wilson and Mr. Frost for being his mentors, as well as his fellow cast members for support-ing him. He would also like to give a special thank you to his parents and loved ones. Daved plans on majoring in TV and film in college.

Santina Ortiz (Ensemble) is a freshman. She previously was Losten in GOOD NEWS CRUISE at FBC Davenport. Santina is also involved with Band and plans to join the U.S. Army after graduation.

Danielle Otey (John) is a junior. She has participated as an ensemble member in A CHRIST-MAS CAROL and SCHOOL OF ROCK at Berkeley Middle School. Outside of theatre, she likes band. Danielle would like to thank her parents for driving her from rehearsal and all those who helped with the show.

Melanie Pagan (Erma) is a senior. She’s previously appeared on the RCHS stage in WIZARD OF OZ, SLEEPY HOLLOW, and HAIRSPRAY. She is an officer in dance and Thespian Troupe. Melanie will be attending Florida Gulf Coast University, majoring in Resort and Hospitality Man-agement. She’d like to thank her parents for supporting her, Mr. Wilson for believing in her, and Mrs. Marcia and Mr. Balach for their time. She’d also like to thank the whole cast and crew for the great experience!

Raymima Paul (Ensemble) is a senior. This is her first production. Raymima also participates in tennis, Color Guard, and volunteers at the Haines City Public Library. She enjoys softball and basketball. She wants to thank her mom and dad for their support and for always encouraging her. Raymima would also like to thank God for her life and guiding her.

Rhyanna Pleuss (Choir) is a sophomore. This is her first production. She has interests in mu-

sic, art, fashion, and volleyball. Rhyanna is a member of Sigma Alpha Sigma. She’d like to thank

her dad and family for their support, as well as her best friend, Daneen, and her boyfriend. After

high school, she’s planning to major in Hospitality and Business and minor in Fashion. She hopes

to work for Disney’s costuming department.

Meet the Cast and Crew Victoria Adolphson (Hope Harcourt) is a freshman. At Davenport School of the Arts, she played Cinderella in CINDERELLA, Ariel in THE LITTLE MERMAID, and the Mother in THE TALE OF SNOW WHITE. With Ridge Community Theatre she played the First Spirit in A CHRISTMAS CAROL. She’d like to thank her supportive friends and family. She’d also like to give special thanks to Mr. Wilson, Mr. Balach, and Mr. Frost, and Mrs. Cain and Mr. Mosenburg for introducing her to the theatre. She hopes to go to Denver University to pursue her dream of being a zoologist.

Bruno Arnesi (Crew) is a senior. Bruno previously was the Sound Department Head for our fall production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. He also is interested in music, sound design, photog-raphy, and film making. He would like to thank God, his parents, and Mr. Frost. Bruno is going to Valencia and UCF to major in Music Production.

Faith Artis (Passenger) is a sophomore. She made her debut on the RCHS stage last year as Little Inez in HAIRSPRAY. She is also an active member on the Golf team, and a member of Sigma Alpha Sigma and Art Club. Faith would like to thank her parents for their support. She plans to study musical theatre, directing, and screenwriting at Rollins College after she gradu-ates.

Alex Braman (Assistant Stage Manager/Asst. Lighting Designer) is a senior. He has been a stagehand and spotlight operator for productions at Edmond North High School, including A TUNA CHRISTMAS and WEST SIDE STORY. Alex has also been involved as stagehand and set designer with RCHS’s productions of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. He would like to give special thanks to his mom and dad, Madison, Nana, and Papa. Alex is attending Stetson University next year and plans to study Technical Theatre.

Aikel Coffie (Ensemble) is a junior. Previously she was involved in OLIVER (orphan) and A CHRISTMAS CAROL (caroler) at DSA. Here at RCHS, she appeared as Motor Mouth Maybelle in last year’s production of HAIRSPRAY. Aikel is also involved in Sigma, NHS, and advanced women’s choir. Her dream is to become a professional entertainer, as she loves to sing and dance. For college, she plans to attend two years in Florida, then two years in New York. Aikel would like to thank her family for their great support in everything she does.

Anna Cooper (Crew) is a sophomore. She has previously worked Crew for RCHS Theatre in HAIRSPRAY and A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Anna is involved with Sigma, on the Varsity girls basketball team, and is a tutor. She would like to give a special thank you to her family for sup-porting her and taking her to and from school to participate in what she loves doing.

Elizabeth Corbin (Crew) is a sophomore. She has worked on the crew for our past two pro-

ductions, A CHRISTMAS CAROL and HAIRSPRAY. Elizabeth is a Brainstorm tutor, Sigma

fundraising director, in Student Government as a Sophomore Class Representative, and in Na-

tional Honor Society and Technical Theatre Design and Production class. She would like to thank

her parents and family, and Mr. Frost for their support. Looking ahead, Elizabeth would like to

study sports medicine in college.

Meet the Cast and Crew Dominique Davenport (Reporter #1) is a senior. She has been involved with the RCHS productions of WIZARD OF OZ, SLEEPY HOLLOW, HAIRSPRAY, and A CHRISTMAS CAR-OL. She is a member of the Health Academy, and would like to give a special thank you to her family for always supporting her. Dominique plans to attend Valencia next year.

Savannah Dugan (Crew) is a senior. She was also a crew member in last year’s performance of HAIRSPRAY. She spends most of her school time devoted to the production and is excited to work with such a great group.

Hannah Dyer (Luke) is a freshman. She was Frida Cratchit in the fall’s production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and also has participated in multiple productions with First Baptist Church of Orlando, including THE SINGING CHRISTMAS TREES and WELCOME BACK, JACK. She sang with her middle school choir and loves musical theatre. Hannah’s other hobbies include reading, writing, and dance. She would like to give a special thanks to Mr. Wilson, Mr. Frost, her family, and her best friends, Kenzie Watson and Danielle Otey. Her current plans are to pursue theatre and teaching degrees in college.

Corvus Fitzgerald (Sailor) is a sophomore. His past experience includes playing Fender in HAIRSPRAY, and multiple productions at McLaughlin Middle School, including THE NUT-CRACKER and was a member of the quartet, Music Man, Jr. Corvus is involved with dance, Japanime Club, Paintball, Karate, and enjoys online gaming and reading. Corvus would like to thank his family and Mr. Wilson for all their support. He plans to study Theatre Arts and Dance in college.

Kayla Gallardo (Reno’s Angel) is a senior. Her past experience includes appearances in THE SECRET GARDEN, PINOCCHIO, and ANNIE, JR. at Davenport School of the Arts. She was also a Nicest Kid in Town during last year’s production of HAIRSPRAY. Kayla is a member of dance here at RCHS and at Studio C School of Dance. She wants to give a big thanks to Mr. Wil-son, Mrs. Marcia, and Cordero for helping her in the musical. She plans to attend Polk State for two years before transferring to the University of Florida.

Zachary Gamache (Lord Evelyn Oakley) is a senior. This is his first major production. He is the Student Body President, Bolt’s Brigade Deputy Commander, and Rifle Marksmanship Co-Captain. Zachary enjoys long walks on the beach, coffee, soccer, running, and reading poetry by candlelight. His future plans include going to the University of Central Florida to study Political Science.

Jade Raelynn Garia (Ensemble) is a sophomore. Her past experience includes ROMEO & JULIET during her freshman year. Her future plans are to move to Los Angeles after high school to attend college for theatre.

Bri Gransee (Passenger #2/Ensemble) is a senior. Her past experience includes being in the

ensemble of HAIRSPRAY and playing Belinda Cratchit and Mrs. Dilber in our fall production of

A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Bri is an active member of RCHS Theatre and Sigma Alpha Sigma. She

would like to thank her parents for their support, Melissa for helping her every step of the way,

and Mr. Wilson for showing her that theatre is an awesome place to be.

Meet the Cast and Crew Sarah Hallman (Passenger #1/Ensemble) is a senior. Last spring she was an ensemble member in the production of HAIRSPRAY and played Young Belle and Fred’s wife in A CHRISTMAS CAROL. She has also participated at Community of Faith Church. She is an active member of Choir, and loves the German language, traveling, and theatre. She would like to thank her parents for their support. Sarah plans to attend Stetson University and study Music Education and German.

Ashlie Hayner (Ensemble) is a sophomore. This is her first production. Ashlie is currently a member of Sigma Alpha Sigma and the Medical Academy. She would like to thank her parents, sister, and grandma. And a special thank you to her grandpa, watching her performance from above.

Kimberly James (Purser/Costume Design) is a senior. She has been involved with many aspects of the theatre, including technical work for DRACULA, WIZARD OF OZ, and THE NUTCRACKER. She recently has tried her hand at acting, first playing the matron in last year’s production of HAIRSPRAY. Kimberly is also President of the Anime Club, Thespian Historian, Student Government Representative, Ambassador for the Recording Arts Academy, and a mem-ber of NHS. She wants to thank her parents for watching her grow, Mr. Wilson and Mr. Frost for helping along the way, and to everyone who’s supported her in pursuing her dreams.

Shakeir Jones (Elisha Whitney) is a junior. His previous experience includes RCHS’s pro-duction of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. He has enjoyed his time working on ANYTHING GOES and would like to thank Mr. Wilson for being a great director.

Alejandra Karnath (Tech/Sound) is a junior. She has previously worked as part of the sound crew for HAIRSPRAY and A CHRISTMAS CAROL. She’s currently in her third year with the Recording Arts Academy and second year with Color Guard and Winter Guard. She would like to thank her mother for always being there and motivating her always. Alejandra plans to attend Full Sail after high school and major in Music Business and Recording Arts.

Louisebonne Legrand (Ensemble) is a senior. This is her first production. She is also a mem-ber of the Track team and Color Guard. Louise has enjoyed this experience and is looking for-ward to a great show!

Chela Legros (Ensemble) is a freshman. This is her first production. She is also a member of the Track team. She would like to thank Mr. Wilson for letting her be a part of the production, and Mr. Balach for encouraging her. Chela would also like to thank her parents, her friend Liseberthe, her sister, and friends.

Sherry Legros (Ensemble) is a senior. This is her first production at Ridge Community, but Sherry has performed in multiple church plays and musicals for many years. She is a member of the Color Guard and Track team. She has been singing in church since the age of seven, and loves anything dealing with acting. Her future plans include working more in the theatre.

Esther Lubin (Reno’s Angel) is a sophomore. She has worked backstage with the crew during A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and played a Dynamite in HAIRSPRAY. Esther is a member of Sigma Leadership, R.I.S.K. Club, and Key Club. She also enjoys dancing, writing, theatre, and spend-ing time with her loved ones. She hopes to attend medical school and become a pediatrician or pediatric nurse. She’d like to thank her family and friends for supporting her.
